I came in for a late weekday to-go lunch and ordered a small pizza. All of the staff were very friendly and ready to answer any question I had. I even got a chance to peek up at the rooftop, which is a wonderful spot to relax and watch the traffic & clouds go by. The interior was very clean, but what impressed me most was the extensive fresh salad bar that had obviously been replenished after lunch. I would say that this salad bar, as you can see in my photo, is a is a definite go-to that I will return to again and again. The pizza, however, unfortunately, not so much.
I wanted to love the pizza, but I'm sorry to say it was extremely average. It was picture perfect, but very, very light on toppings, which is a disappointment at any pizza shop you may visit. It did not taste bad at all but also had nothing outstanding that I would want to crave again. I would want any business to do well, but it seems that they are slightly overcharging for this pizza, especially given the fact that they skimp on toppings. Still, even with a mediocre pizza, it would be nice to enjoy dining alfresco on their rooftup with a light breeze and the warm sunshine. Hopefully, you will arrive on foot, because parking is almost impossible, given this location is 20 feet off of Main Street, and the few available parking spots are taken up by the other adjacent businesses. It's a fun place, with a welcoming atmosphere and a friendly staff, just don't expect a lot...
Read moreOur first time at Ruszoni's and it was absolutely incredible. The interior was spotless and welcoming. The staff was friendly and the owner was there to greet us and check on us throughout our dinner. Lots of food and drink options and all are very reasonably priced. We ordered a large pizza, cheesy breadsticks, salad bar, and drinks which were all fantastic. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients and the salad bar is very impressive to say the least! They currently offer a $9 large pepperoni special that is an unreal price for what you get. Beer is served on tap as well as bottles so lots of options for beverages in addition to the fountain drinks and iced tea.
There is a comfortable dining room with several seating options and some arcade games available as well. There is a rooftop patio which was closed during our visit as it was undergoing maintenance but expected to be open in a week or so (we will be back for that!). Everything is clean: the dining room, the front patio, the bathrooms, etc. It is obvious that this owner knows what he is doing and I hope to make many visits there this summer to support a solid local business. Very highly...
Read moreSaw the $1 slice lunch special. Came in and got a few slices with my kids. An older guy at the register asked me "that's ALL you want?" In the rudest tone too..I explained we've never been in and we're just walking by and thought we'd try it out. He rolled his eyes at me, I kid you not and when I said "Thank you" THREE TIMES he just looked at me and didn't respond or say you're welcome or anything. So the pizza? The pizza is absolutely awful! My kids would not finish it and they'll eat just about anything. My daughter said it tastes like the pizza they serve for school food.. anyone in public school knows exactly what I'm talking about...my son said it tastes like they just put spaghetti sauce on some really icky slimy bread. They were right. I'd literally rather go get a $5 hot and ready down the road. Even the seating is really crowded and poorly planned in there, we took ours to go and never turned back. No wonder this place has changed owners multiple times, nobody can keep it afloat, especially with that kind of attitude towards customers. I have absolutely no idea how they are getting all these high ratings, must be family and friends...
