My boy, Chester, used to snub me when I brought him home from boarding - for days. For one trip, my regular, cat only, boarding place was full and they recommended Calico Cattery. The facility was clean, smelled great, staff was very sweet. Other cat guests seemed calm, curious, happy. And, when I brought him home that first time from boarding here, he just loved on me like nothing happened, like I didn't abandon him for days. That's when I knew this was his place. We had an absolutely wonderful experience boarding our cats at Calio Cattery. This was our first time boarding at Calico Cattery and for nine days over spring break while we were in Belize. I was nervous about leaving my babies someplace new, but they did excellent. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They ensured we had all our questions answered and understood everything about our cats before we left. The drop-off and pick-up process was smooth and non-stressful for me and my cats. Would give a negative number if I could. Boarded our 2 cats together in a condo but when we showed up early to pick them up they were both trapped inside their cat carriers. When I asked why the girl said that the younger cat “was too messy”. She was less than a year old and very playful so apparently some food or water would get scattered. I couldn’t believe it and have never gone back and would never ever recommend them. If you’re too lazy to sweep up some food you shouldn’t have anything to do with animals. She was also very rough when handling the cats. Terrible...
