See joe holeman review below. Same person Kimberly.(night manager)
I made my reservation through the Hilton app as I usually do. I get to the Hotel and present my ID as I usually do. There is a trainee there with a night manager. I am a silver member ..almost gold. I am a 60 year black male that arrived at the hotel around 11:45pm after a long drive. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO TAKE OUT MY CREDIT CARD AT A HILTON HOTEL DUE TO IT BEING STORED ON THE APP. They usually ask me if they should the card on file. This time the night manager did not want to use the card on file. I had the card in my pocket. But wanted to know why they could not use the one on file. She became aggravated and proceeded to usher me out and said I had to leave. I called Hilton corporation but they was no help. I went accross to tru by Hilton and stayed there. I was never asked for my credit card there..they used the one on file. I have to wonder why a night manager would put there hands on a customer and kicked them off the premises? I have to wonder if the person of color manager would ever do this to any other person that was not a person of color. I am an educated college grad, in many benevolent societies and thought it was sad the way she handled me. If it happen to me, it can happen to anyone. I did call the manager the next day and had not heard back. My concern was having to pay for a room where I was kicked off the premises. Called Hilton corporation again and they insured me I would not be charged. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Note..I tried to go back after talking to a representative before going to tru hotel and was going to use my card for the sake that it was late and I did not want to lose my money but the night manager wanted a an apology and I indicated she handled the situation badly and I was not giving her an apology. She went behind the counter in back that indicated to me she was going ro call police to remove me from the property. So I just went to tru accross. This happen in front of the new trainee and may have played a part in why I...
Read moreI had a very horrible stay at the Home2 suites by Hilton Meridian MS. The original stay was supposed to be from 30 March to 3 May. Unfortunately I had to end my stay very shortly and checked out five April. When I first arrived to the hotel, my room was very dirty. There was mildew and mold in the shower and my sink was clogged, stained carpet and furniture. I went to the front desk and the only thing they did was recock the shower and snake the drain. later that day I found that there was mold still in the shower and the drain was clogged again. The next day I asked for a DnD sign, the lady at the front desk told me that I can come down and get it myself. on what came to be the last day of my stay, 4 April, I had called the front desk in the morning to ensure that my room would be cleaned and my bedsheets changed because it had been 3 days since anyone has cleaned it. They ensured that it would be done, when I came back my bedsheets were still on the floor and my room completely untouched. I went to the front office to let them know that it wasn’t cleaned and the man at the front desk told me that there was nothing he could do for me that I would have to wait for the morning. I told him I had no bed sheets on my bed, as I took them off to assist housekeeping that never came, and he told me the only thing he can give me was towels. if it wasn’t a friend that was staying at the same hotel I would not have had sheets to sleep on that night. When I decided to check out early, I had to quickly find accommodations for the rest of my stay in Meridian because I refuse to stay at that hotel. Upon checking out the front desk asked me if everything was OK with my stay, I replied that I’m actually ending my stay early. After that, she caught an attitude and did not speak to me the rest of the checkout process nor did she asked me what...
Read moreThis location is ONLY 3 years old. This was my first experience with the Hilton Home2 flag. We specifically chose this style of hotel for the kitchenette. Giving this location 2 stars only because...... the front desk personnel were very nice and it was in a good location with many restaurants to choose from. The bed was comfortable. The lighting was decent and the hot water was very hot. The layout of the room had plenty of storage space if you were going to do an extended stay. OTHERWISE it would have only received 1 STAR....... BECAUSE.....the room was extremely dirty! The bathroom had what looked like either toothpaste or soap literally splattered all over the green wallpaper. The outside of the toilet had hardly been wiped down and was disgusting. The tub hardly drained. The bathroom sink drain was slow, but not as bad as the tub. The only way to get the kitchen sink to drain was to run the garbage disposal every time. Paint was coming off the bathroom ceiling and the wallpaper was falling off the walls. The shower head was so coated with lime that it hardly worked. Mold on the shower walls. Supposedly clean dishes to use were dirty. The carpet was stained and dirty. EVERYTHING was dusty. The comforter and sheets had stains and the pillows were ALL extremely soft. I spent nearly 2 hours cleaning the room to be able to stay in it and feel somewhat comfortable. When I expressed my concerns to the front desk, they apologized but offered no discount on the cost of our room. I am a Diamond Hilton Honors member. I will give a HOME2 another try....but never at this...
