What is happening to Carrabba’s? It has been our go to for a consistently good meal for so many years but really having a hard time with staff being honest and literally giving a crap about your experience which is now costing a small fortune. Got lied to 3x about a stupid to-go soup $9 server made a mistake and ordered a cup not a full sized bowl she even said oops, then continued to try to pass off this cup as a full sized bowl lying to me over and over as I knew what the portion should be. My well done filet was bleeding 🩸 on to my plate after the first cut into it. Server did not take our $10 Off bonus card cuz she couldn’t figure it out. Let me explain it again but she was unable to comprehend my common sense. Oh Lord. As I leave we call the manager. Nice enough Lady. Apologize about 7 times and said we could use our bonus next time (we haven’t decided if there will be a next time) so that doesn’t really fix what just took place. She confirmed the soup should have been double the size that we got. If I’m around in the next couple days I could come in to get the other portion of soup I paid for. What got me was the excuse that server was pretty new. What does being new have to do with flat out lying face to face with your customer when they are asking you if they got what they paid for?? That is a character issue not a newness issue. Manager said the general manager will send us a coupon for part of the meal but could take a while to get here. So annoyed. I hate being lied Sydney it is disrespectful. If you don’t know something simply ask someone. I feel the manager did not resolve this to the standard we would expect from Carrabba’s. $100 dollars for a bloody steak 1/2 bowl of soup & major frustration, just what we need on our date night after a hard week. It holds a special place in our heart for the one close to Cocoa Beach, FL. HOWEVER the one in Mesa is a no go for us again. I understand wait times but you should always follow the under promise over deliver rule.
We showed up tonight Saturday May 1st at 6:43 we checked in and were quoted a 25 minute wait. At the 45 minute mark I asked how long the wait still was as NO ONE had reached out apologized for the wait or the horrible judgement in wait time. We were told just a few more minutes and were finally sat at the 50 minute mark. UNACCEPTABLE to say the least especially with 0 apologies from any of the staff.
Our server was great. He was very attentive. I told him of the wait time and to let a manager know to which he said he did. No manager showed up to the table to acknowledge this.
Then as of things were not bad enough I mentioned we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday, the server was nice and wished her a happy birthday and offered ice cream. She ordered the kids ravioli. This was the last straw. I was charged $8.49 for 4 cheese ravioli. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Over $2.00 per mediocre ravioli???? I will post a picture of the untouched plate as it was brought to us.
Ia am all about paying for quality and/or quantity, this offered neither....

I will not visit if he is not working. I had a few mishaps on my first visit and he and Chris (the super manager) made sure I came back was happy when I left and eager to return for a better visit .
Cons: The portions are so large I can never get to my dinner and dessert.
Is that really a con? No!!! 😂
That means left overs. 😜 Another meal I don't have to cook.. What? 😋 One never had an item that doesn't warm well the next day.
They took away the cheese graters. Personally I miss them however, considering I don't know the reasoning behind the decision is not a deal breaker. 👍That would be petty.
Don't skip dessert. Shoot 🍴eat it first or take it home for some Netflix and chill.
Personally I love the chocolate mousse cake thing 🎂. No I don't know what it's called because my server knows my order. 🤣
Overall you only live once and don't waste time eating bad food.. 😘
