I'm giving one star rating because I've been to less reputable places and have received better customer service. I was looking for a mattress topper for my bed. After looking at the selections available in store, I realized the one size that fits my bed wasn't new. And by "new" I mean this product was used and put back on the shelf after being returned by a previous customer. The only reason I knew this is because all new bedding comes vacuum sealed from the manufacturer. And this one was not sealed and if that wasnt enough indication that it wasnt new, the box was bulging from all sides and had scotch tape on every corner. Probably to keep the package from bursting apart. So with that being said, not a big deal, I'll just ask politely if there is another one in the back storage room. Gabe was the associate that helped me originally and he was very nice and professional. But when we needed further assistance to clarify if the sale price was going to apply in a couple days from now. We enlisted the assistance of his superior, Maria. She was hardly helpful and quite dismissive and rude. When asking questions I felt as though I was burdening her, and although I apologized several times for "hassling them" she was unwaivered in her behavior. So because their product was faulty and misplaced back on the shelf when it should've been demoed out, and I happened to have questions because the sale for this product end in two days, she decided to treat me with contempt. Maria did absolutely nothing I couldnt have done without her and quite honestly I would've preferred anyone else to answer my questions. Just so I wouldn't have had to be dismissed and treated like I was interrupting her day. My hats off to Gabe though, he did a fantastic job and I wish I could hire 10 guys just like him on my team. I wont be spending my money with Target for this product, I'll just go somewhere else where I know I'm not a burden to their staff and where the product gets handled correctly so I can avoid this type of encounter...
Read moreI shop at this target because it is close to my house. I just went in there today at noon to buy a few things. When going to the dressing room to try something on real quick there was no one at the desk to help so I went in and found an open dressing room and tried my stuff on quickly because I was in a hurry. Upon exiting the dressing room there was a female employee going through the dressing rooms and knocking on doors to see if there was anyone in them. As I came out I said hello and proceeded to leave. As I passed by I got no hello... just a remark the woman said about the 2 sports bras I had left behind (which is what I normally do with merchandise I don't want) she said "oh you left these behind but I guess no one told you to put them back like you should". I said I will be more than happy to put them back I am sorry about that and she proceeded to ignore me and held the sports bras in her hand and continue to knock on doors. I found it kind of rude.... it's your job lady to pick up after customers and return the merchandise back to the shelves in a neatly manner. Why do retail stores hire grouchy people who hate their jobs. If you don't like customer service then don't work in retail! Since I am having a bad day as it is already she is lucky I didn't come back rude on her. Come on Target! I shop with you because I can't stand walmart. The least you could do is hire...
Read moreMy husband and I received two of the same wedding gift from Target, so we went to return one and asked the money be placed on a gift card. The young lady working made a mistake and accidently returned the money to the card it was originally bought on (which was not ours) and was unable to void the transaction. We understand that mistakes happen and were not upset until we were told that they could and would not do anything about it. We asked for store credit for the gift and were told by the manager that they could not credit us the amount paid for the gift (close to $50) and that we should just call the person who originally gave the gift, say it was broken or something and we tried to return it and the store returned it to them by mistake. We could then ask for a new gift or for them to send us money? I want to be understood; target employees gave our wedding gift to someone else by mistake, then told us to lie and ask for another gift, without making any attempt to remedy the situation on their part. I am sure it doesn't mean much, but we will not be returning to this target, and I will be informing my friends and family to...
