Update: I finally got ahold of the owner and tried to give him a friendly reminder of what we had talked about. He got upset that I even told him about being double charged. It wasn't my fault. I was trying to tell him to give me the equivalent of the money for food. He didn't even let me finish telling him and just gave me the money, which I was ok with that too, and I just left. I went another Tuesday to buy some quesabirrias and was asking about the times they opened. The ladies that were there told me that they are opening at 5:30 in the afternoons and not at 10 am like it says in the picture.
I've been coming here for quite some time. In July, I placed an order through doordash, even got a notification that the food was gonna be ready at a certain time. I got to this place to pick up my order, and it wasn't even prepared. Francisco, the owner, then tells me "oh our credit card machines are not working." I told him, " Why didn't they call me and ask or tell me you had an issue?" He asked me if I still wanted what I ordered, and I said yes, and he asked me how was i gonna pay since his credit cards machine weren't working. I told him i could do zelle, and so i zelled him in what doordash charged me. So I waited another 20 minutes for my order. He told me that doordash was going to give me my credit back and that if there was a problem to go ahead and contact him. Well, doordash DID charge me for my order. I've been going to the restaurant multiple times, and either I just missed him, or he'll call me back. Still haven't heard from him and I went on 8/21 the restaurant was closed which seemed off because their hours don't say that. I hope he sees this because I need my money back or give me the food for...
Read moreI've been here 4 times thinking each time was going to be a better experience. This review will be based on this last visit today 8/9/22. I was the only car in the drive thru and only 2 cars parked out front. The girl asked for a minute before taking my order, this minute turned into 10 minutes. I placed my order, ceviche tostada $6.99, birria fries $12.99 and the 3 taco plate combo $9.99. I went to the window and she told me the total was $53. I asked her to repeat the order to which she stated i ordered 3 taco plates, I had to tell her twice it was just 1 order of the 3 taco plate combo. This made her mad, she closed the window and yelled something then came back to me and told me i ordered 3 plates not 1. I assured her it was just 1 order of the 3 taco combo as listed on the menu out front. She gave me an attitude and changed the price to reflect only 1 order. I asked for her manager and she said she was the only person working and that the order would take another 15 minutes. She walked away and 2 other guys came out to look at me through the window. I saw her a few more times laughing and on her phone. She finally gave me my order after 17 minutes waiting at the window. Still the only car there. I got home and my birria fries had no toppings. Just stale cold dark brown fries with the meat. No onions, cilantro, sour cream, guac or pico. I don't live too far but driving back to get the order fixed with this person who was rude and uneducated with the menu was definitely not a thing i wanted to do. She must've been around 19 years old or so, very long nails, bushy long eyelashes static dark hair with highlights. This wasn't my first run in with her but this time was...
Read moreWhen I approach the restaurant, the restaurant was clean outside. I walked through the door and I noticed several people eating inside. I liked the clean fresh look of the dining area and the kitchen view. The lady behind the counter was very nice attentive and answered any questions I had. (Recently I've been going to filibertos and found their asada to be chewy, french fries soft and their guacamole tasting less than fresh). All of those negative words are about filibertos. Tacos Lupe answered my questions about their fresh horchata and their fresh lemonade. I ordered my food to go. When I arrived at my destination and I began eating my ordered meal. I noticed the french fries tasted good little bit crispy which I enjoy. The asada taste really fresh and tasty. (One of the things I'd complained about at filibertos was how less than fresh guacamole taste). I find the guacamole at Tacos Lupe to taste as if it was made recently like in the past couple hours. Sour cream and cheese is flavorful. I began using the red sauce and found it to be a good heat not over hot for the tongue. Yet with a nice spice. I will go back to Tacos lupe's again. I must have a large of...
