The staff is EXTREMELY rude!!!
As soon as my daughter and I walked in the girls at the counter started snickering and took off to the back. We walked around for a bit, maybe 10min, before they came back out. No greetings or welcome. They all stood there with annoyed looks on their faces. Ha.. we traveled far to come visit this place also it was my nieces birthday and we were going to get a gift for my son that we haven't seen in awhile so I wasn't leaving empty handed despite the cattiness.
The bread is nothing special The stuffed concha was doughy in the middle, it tastes extremely artificial (compared it to the blueberry pop tart filling but less sweet) and it is cute but that's all it was. Ate some and threw it away. The tres leches cake is the only thing we had worth buying, omg so delicious! The churro bites were greasy flavorless and apparently shook up, they did not look like this before the girl put them in the bag.
Also when I went to order, the other worker smiled at me then turned on the giant blender they have. It's right next to the cash register. I stopped trying to talk and waited for her to finish what she was doing then, she stops it, the cashier and I try to talk again, then the girl smiles and turns it back on. The blender is huge and loud. 😑
Then it turns out Three items we tried to order "unfortunately wasn't available" I'm glad we didn't get coffee I see the reviews and say they're horrible. 😵 So maybe that's a good thing they weren't able to make them.
I asked about the mini cakes and the girl said have have to order them three days in advance. I said ok do you make any daily? (I could've came at opening the next day to get whatever was available for my daughter's 3nd birthday it's at the same place I was heading afterwards) I asked if they did because there was a mini cake for sale. She said no. To hell with this place, there are way better places to get the same products for less and definitely better customer service!!! We were excited about coming here but eh, what a let down.
I'm taking cielito Rosa off my favorite list and I will never suggest this place to family and...
Read moreAmazing small business and a great place to meet with family, friends or even business meetings. I have gone with every age group from child to senior citizen and they have all enjoyed the options at this business.
Some highlights are the coffees. I had an Americano black bc I like to taste the coffee by itself and it's quite strong without being bitter or acidic, which I enjoy. I tried some of my kids lavender caramel and it was delish, it was made with almond milk by request (dairy alternatives are available, no soy is available) and it was well balanced and not sticky overly sweet like some other coffee shops. She also has the caramel mixed coffee drink and this was good too but a bit sweeter. The baked goods are fantastic. We ate cake and it had a fantastic crumb and was fresh. We had polvorones (giant sugar cookies, usually made with a stable fat) they had a great chew and crumble. They melted in our mouths. The conchas are soft and pillowy with a great cookie top, very light and fresh u like many you find at grocery stores and some other bakeries. The cochitos (molasses cookies) were crisp on the outside and crumbly on the inside, great with coffee or tea. They do custom cake orders and cookie orders. I haven't tried these yet, but I would try it out next time I need a custom baked good (I have a background in pastry, so I feel like it would be worth the money to outsource my baking to Cielito Rosa if I am unable to do it myself). They have savory and sweet empanadas as well. I saw aguas frescas and some chai and tea options too. Adjacent to the cafe is a small business that sells many artesanal goods. We took the opportunity to buy some earrings and a beaded bracelet and also some gifts for friends. This place will be great to find unique gifts for special occasions and the upcoming holidays. Can't wait to bring more fam and...
Read moreMy pictures do not do this place justice! I meant to take pics inside the place but I was just so excited at the beautiful setup! I literally felt like a kid in a candy store. They were so kind when I walked in. Both times I went someone greeted me and said if I had any questions feel free to ask. It's so well lit. There is so much seating. If you are one of those that loves a good photo op there are a couple setups as well. The vibe in here is amazing! I went for my first time on Thursday and I live far but I wanted it again Saturday and went for more! The conchas are just perfect just a soft bite and they stay soft much longer than other places. The cookies in my photo I don't remember the name but goodness they are addicting, a nice soft but not too soft of a bite. This is a dangerous place to be addicted to😅.I highly recommend going here! My only recommendation to the business is to add the names of the baked goods on the other side too where you get the things out from. I say this because you look at everything and in your head name a few things you're picking so you go to the other side to grab them and you want to know what you're getting and when you're getting a lot (like myself) you forget what it was and have to go back around haha. Love this place and I'm so grateful beautiful Alma...
