Prices seem good at the entrance, but once you get to the aisles, things get crazy. Prices are outstanding. 25 cent snacks in 2023? So cool. Workers are pleasant and helpful. A lot of people talk about carbon footprints, and this place is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint, reduce good waste and with your food bill. American Discount Foods is a large, clean grocery store that get lots of overstock, some dented boxes, and lots of dairy products and dairy substitutes within date. ADF has lots of food nearing expiration dates, but they are safe to eat and most taste great. They do have some things that are past the best buy date, but there are posters with links to documentaries by FDA and various health organizations explaining what is still safe. The store guarantees all food for 14 days if refrigerated, but 45 days for everything else, So if for some reason those just expired chips taste nasty, you can return it. I've never has anything except refrigerated Presidents brie taste off. The food carried is always rotating with new things and weekly deals. There are so many health foods, veggies, and even foreign goods. They even have restaurant quantities available like a mini Costco corner. I love that they also offer a small amount, so you can buy a 10 to 50 cent snack, and then decide if you want to buy the big Box for, like, three to eight dollars. That's really helpful for people like me whom are trying to expand what they they eat and try new things, and for families with young children. Some fun things they've had: Kewpie mayonnaise, dungeoness crab chips, sushi chef pickled ginger as an item they carry often, maple onion jam, chestnut honey, blue corn tortilla chips, chocolate coconut chips, dried whole mung beans, Peruvian beans, fried apples, no bake pumpkin pie, Thai chili rondele dip, and every sauce known to man Great deals I've gotten: 5 pounds of pancake mix or 10lbs of Quaker Oats for $5, Cascadia farms granola cereal for 99c, family sized chips for $1.29, 79c for half-gallon in date Lactose-free milk, 5lbs of ricotta for $3.99, 9 pack of Pocky for $1.29, 79c Strawberry Pocky, $1.99 for 3-pack of large portion Korean instant noodles [Naeng-Myeon] and all kinds of cool prices on RX bars and meal substitutes. They carry LOTS of vitamins and cleaning products, and some clothing as well.

I've been going here since I was a kid, but when I married someone who has a gluten sensitivity, it became an absolute lifesaver! They're always getting random gluten free products-- I don't think I've ever visited and not found at LEAST gluten free pasta. But recently it's been such a gold mine! Someone explain to me how I just bought 5 bags of gluten free pretzels, a bag of gluten free crackers, 3 bags of gluten free tortillas, 2 bags of gluten free pizza dough, and 12 protein bars for $30?! 2 bags of gluten free pizza dough alone would have been $20 at Sprouts. You just have to go in with an understanding that some of the food is discounted for a reason lol. Imperfections in packaging, really strange flavors that didn't sell well at other stores, and things that are past their expiration dates are common here. Just be open minded and remember some foods past their expiration can still be good for quite a while. They've also got an awesome social media team! I'd highly recommend following their Facebook page to see their weekly ads (and get a laugh sometimes. The blond guy in all the recent videos is hilarious)

Excellent way to cut your grocery budget! They have a little bit of everything and can feel like a treasure hunt! Lots of main staples as well as high-end options for a fraction of the price of your neighborhood grocery store. I shop here once or twice a month and plan many meals around the items I purchase and then get the rest of what I need other places. We love that they honor the military veterans with a 10% discount on Thursdays. We also like to know that we're supporting a small business and the wheel of prizes is a fun way to get an added surprise that saves money in the future. This store is not "fancy", but nobody knows where the food comes from once it's home! About the expiration dates- yes, I look at all of the dates and use my judgment to decide what I'm comfortable with. I've been shopping at American Discount for 12 years and have maybe gotten a handful of things that I wished I would have skipped, but they will refund if you bring your items back. Overall this place is a budget saver and I'm grateful to have this opportunity when times are tough.

Great store for deals but Horrible customer service and Worse Employee service from the management. Some employees were nice however. I would Appreciate and feel better if it's known and want it to be known. This store has Lied about there hiring process in the form of saying you can only be hired or work if you go to a certain church. They have said it to more than a few people. I have confirmed with numerous employees already working there and management from the other store that it's not true and that it's probably illegal they have discriminated and asked unreasonable and unnecessary questions. Jason Has bashed me for sweating because it's hot outside has bashed and assumed I didn't have proper identification for no reason. It took a few months for me to get a application and grateful enough I had a few employees that were nice enough to get me a application after I was lied to about the hiring process. Then I get a interview with the manager Jason that went decent except for the few snarky remarks I heard from him and the fact that he actually said he's "tired of people coming into look for a job and just anyone coming to just look for any job off the street." He Doesn't want me to ask why he's asking questions like where exactly my address is located doesn't want me to wonder or ask why he would say he thinks I lied about someone threatening to stab me.

Which I confirmed with the police officers that is not legal and it's bad customer service they called it bad for business and I'm glad the police were nicer than the manager because I think they really didn't understand why the management wouldn't let me buy the groceries I already picked out and I've shopped there a dozen times never had them blatantly find a reason to kick me out because I wanted a job

I missed a call by 5 mins and call back about 5mins they tell me he's busy and to call back so I do an hour later and he's apparently gone from the store and then days later I'm shopping in the store already have a cart of groceries and I decided to see if the manager was there so I could ask about the status of my application and he says it's a no. Gives me a handshake and I ask why or what for what reason so I can know for future reasons and jobs and he literally says it's cause I believe you lied to me about almost being stabbed by a stranger. And calls the police to have me removed even though I just wanted to buy the food I already picked out. I think he is looking for reasons to not hire people because I talked to a nice employee who was surprised and wondering why he didn't respond sooner but this was more than embarrassing they would cause this when I ask how he thinks someone threatening me is a reason to not hire me. Especially when they have it on there application that they don't discriminate and they hire anyone even someone with a record which I don't have. I thought I'd be hired but they made a reason out of nowhere to say no about something that happened to me that wasn't even any of there business and then they don't want me to shop there because of it. This store is overrun with the Management and they need new managers and I hope the employees there are treated better in the future because I already have experience working in grocery stores and haven't dealt or heard anything like this before I think it's absurd and embarrassing they would cause this to be what they made it. I had all the inspiration and experience needed to work here and they bashed me for sweating and kicked me out because I asked why he would say...

Requested a gift card for a horrible service was declined by owners here and termed my request for gift card to begging money!

I had a extremely difficult and bad customer service experience last week where the branch manager and stand in assistant manager were very rude in sales, marketing, communicating with us and made us feel down in front of other members when we asked them to spin the wheel off after a certain amount, he was quick to say no and repeatedly showed rough behavior! We then escalated to club manager and before he walks down to meet us the stand in assistant manager runs to him to explain his part of story and by the time club manger comes he decides up his mind to not help us! He (jeremy) instead threatens us to not provide the customers and us the option to spin the wheel at all and tells in a way as if they are doing a huge favor to us! They have settings in their wheel where customer can hit max times least amount of prize! The cashier even misbehaved with my wife and was extremely unprofessional!

We escalated to owners ( DJ ) and it took them a few days to even give us a call and it was appalling the way owners handled the case here!

I requested a gift card for the poor service i received and he was quick to deny that then I said what actions would he take , de doesn’t give proper action or steps , once then I said I will leave not great reviews since his management is not convincing and in return the owner tells me this is called extortion! And laughs off my request in front of me , not sure how educated or sincere they are in retaining the customers who spend 1000s at their place!

I have seen/ heard couple of my other Friends and family members having to receive a terrible experience as well and a pretty rude behavior!

I would highly suggest to save your money and spend elsewhere since all your get here is bad behavior rude service and down market expired products which can cause serious diseases and as well as severe health condition from the dairy products they have!

Liked to give 0 starts on this based on their service but I have shopped here every 2 months since a year but this experience was eye opener and showed how lightly they take the customer experience! This poor service and experience has certainly stopped us going any further and a strong feeling that how they misguide, mistreat, discriminative behavior with their regular customers!

I was appalled to see the dam about not caring attitude from the owners to the...
