I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the culinary delights of Chef Blaise and Kanani. Their food truck has been catering to the Hawaiian community in Arizona for many years, and they still run both. They recently opened a new restaurant in Mesa, Arizona. I love your space's decor, cleaning, and welcoming feeling. Chef Blaise continues to showcase his remarkable talent and bring a TASTE OF HAWAII and his childhood culinary knowledge to Pacific Rim and Sushi. WE ARE SO BLESSED to have Chef Blaise and Sistah Kanani representing our Hawaii cultural food in Arizona.
During my visit, I sampled their combo plate lunch, which featured BBQ Kalbi and Char Siu Chicken, which were flavorful and expertly prepared. The Teri beef and mac salad mixed with ahi tuna and rice was also exceptional, demonstrating the chef's dedication to each dish's perfect blend of taste and texture. Another standout dish was the "poke bomb," which consisted of inari filled with fresh fish from Fiji, topped with seasoned sushi rice and Chef Blaise's signature sauces. The freshness of the fish was particularly impressive, considering it had been flown in. Which he does regularly for his fish...So grateful
There is a difference in how a Kanaka Oiwi (Born and Raised in KauaÊ»i ) prepares food, and the secret is âALOHA COMES FROM WITHIN.â You know his love and passion are shared with good intentions and you can immediately tell on the first bite.
Chef Blaise and Kanani prioritize quality and authenticity in their cuisine, making every visit to their restaurant a genuinely memorable experience for food enthusiasts.

As a Hawaiian living in Arizona, I can honestly say this is the only place here that is truly authentic. From the moment you walk in, you feel the aloha spiritâHawaiian music playing, warm smiles, and food that tastes exactly like home.
đș Food: Everything here is consistently ono. âą Laulau made the right way with multiple layers of taro leaf and fat so it stays moist and flavorful. âą Katsu curry & chicken katsu â cooked perfectly. âą Char siu, meat jun, haupia, lomi lomi salmon, BBQ beefâall spot on. âą Poi flown in fresh from HawaiÊ»i, along with the fish for their poke, which is cut the way it should be. âą Musubi made like back homeânot just spam thrown on rice, but with care and tradition.
Beyond the plates, theyâve been slowly adding more authentic Hawaiian items for purchaseâlike guava jelly, butter mochi, and snacks from OÊ»ahu. Everything is either from HawaiÊ»i directly or made by Hawaiians, which makes a huge difference in authenticity.
đ„ą Atmosphere & Owners: The portions are generous, the quality is always there, and the owners treat you like family. They carry themselves the way Hawaiians do back homeâsharing aloha, connecting with people, and giving back to the community. They arenât just serving food, theyâre living the Hawaiian lifestyle and sharing it with everyone who walks in.
đŻ Bottom Line: For anyone craving Hawaiian food, this is the real deal. As a Hawaiian, I can say this is the closest Iâve felt to being back home since moving here. Pacific Rim is worth the drive every...
Read moreI was born and raised in Hawaii (Puna side Big island). This is hands-down, the best Hawaiian food in Arizona, and debatably the best food compared to local Hawaiian places in Hawaii. If you want real authentic Hawaiian food, this is where you need to go. With the real authentic Hawaiian vibe. In Hawaii, we eat, and we sit down and talk story. The staff tries to do the same, They make you feel like Family. You can taste the food is made with love. If youâre missing real poke, and not just poke bowls, but real poke where you can buy by the pound, this is where you need to go! Their fish is fresh, they have Hawaiian style, ahi shoyu (and more) poke and itâs even made with real aloha shoyu. They even have kimchi style taco (Octopus). If you want a real Hawaiian experience in the middle of the desert, check them out! I would recommend everything on the menu! But their Hawaiian plate with Lalau is boom!! They make their own lalauâ Most places here in Arizona just order them frozen. OMG their Mac salad, probably the best Hawaiian salad Iâve ever had! The owners unko Blaze and Aunty Kanani, Are absolutely amazing and treat you with love just like your family. Iâm not related, but in Hawaii out of respect you called them, uncle (unko) and aunty.
Ono grindz try em!
