I would love to tell you how the food and drinks were at this Native, unfortunately we were never served any after being there for over 45 minutes. When we walked in on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm, it was mostly empty. 3 tables had people and about 4 tables were dirty and waiting to be cleared. The hostess had a hard time figuring out where to seat our party of 6 even though most of the tables were empty. She kept asking us to give her a minute while she went to the back multiple times. We were eventually sat. In the meantime, 2 of the tables finished their meals and left. After about 15-20 mins and not seeing any server at all, I went to ask the hostess if it would be better if we sat at the bar. My thinking was that maybe there was one server for the bar and dining areas and they were overwhelmed. I couldn't find the hostess. So I went to the bar and asked if it was OK for kids to sit there. A very nice server told me it was fine. Walking back to my table I see the hostess and ask if there is a server for the dining area. She is incredibly confused by my question and when I repeat it she says oh I'll find her. It will be just a few minutes. We've now been here over 20 mins and still have not seen a server in the dining area. After another 5 mins or so, our server (not the same one from the bar so the dining room has a dedicated server who at this point has one table plus our table) comes by and takes our order. We decided to not take any chances and order everything at once so we didn't have to wait a long time in between our drinks and food. She tried to leave after taking only 2 orders when we have 6 people in our party. We had to call her back and explain that all 6 people at the table would like to order their meals. Another 15 mins go by...I suggest to my husband that we leave. We are hungry and I'm kinda tired of looking at all these dirty tables surrounding us and our server had not made an appearance since we placed our order. The hostess decides to start clearing tables. When she gets close enough I ask if it's possible to just get our drinks. Keep in mind it's been more than 45 minutes and we haven't even received a glass of water. She looks at me, makes eye contact and keeps on clearing the table. We left. I know places are understaffed and employees are undertrained but this is a little ridiculous. In the time we were there we saw 2 different groups of people come and leave without being sat because the hostess was no where to be found. We left and went to Uncle Bears where there was also one server for the dining room and patio and a lot more tables with customers. We received our drinks, appetizers, meals, boxes and check in less time than the entire debacle at Native. The host and server were both courteous and friendly and the place was clean and the food was amazing. I highly recommend Uncle Bears! Stay away from...
Read moreFirst let me say I will be back (I have been going since I was a kid). That was, however the worst service I've ever recieved since the restaurant opened. I believe First in Tempe, when I was a kid? I'm a middle-aged woman and I feel invisible quite a bit. But never ever this much! As usually we do, we called in our order. I was running long on the errands. I waited at the hostess stand to get my takeout order as I often do, it was a long wait... So I decided to sit at the bar, order a drink and be patient. The bar tender went back and fourth 3, 1/2 times, of the 2 other employees that I looked at, all of them straight in the eye and said excuse me. They all chose to look past me and help other people. Which many of them have already been served once already while I sat there. Finally a 4th employee stopped. He said oh I'm so sorry it's taking so long, I'll go find out what happened to your food. Again I patiently waited. Finally after at least 25 minutes the bartender looked me in the eye, walked over and I assumed he was going to say something like, sorry I missed you. No he leaned over and notice me finally and said "someone else is sitting there, they're out on the patio, you have to move"🤢. It didn't get better from there. The bartender and I, he said oh I'm so sorry but still never asked me if I needed a drink or offered me water. And when I went out and found the kid that was looking for my food, he walked by me looked at me, I said do you know now what's going on with my food? oh no, oh wait, I think it might be that sitting out there on the counter??! Believe it or not, it did not, it consistently did not get better until I talked to a manager. Kudos to the manager cuz, he was the first one...
Read moreThe service at the Gilbert and US60 location was horrible. I live in the area but my house was flooded so we stayed at the Best Western next door. I come to this location often. A lot. Anytime i go in to eat, excellent wait staff. The two times i ordered TO GO in the last 5 days, my order was incorrect. I called in the first order, and spoke to someone the first time i ordered on 10/23. i asked for no onions on my nachos as my son has a weird allergy. Still onions on my nachos. I let it slide. 2nd time i order, tonight, after a long night of practice and work, i order online, thinking maybe the system can get it right. 9" pizza with mushrooms. Nope. i go at the time it tells me to pick it up and there is a pizza with jalapenos. I tell victoria the hostess that isnt correct. She looks at me like I'm stupid and i dont know what i ordered. I provided her and the manager Nathan with the email that stated mushrooms and they just told me to wait. 40 minutes from when i placed my original order my pizza still isnt done. I asked nathan for a discount for the inconvenience and he shrugged and stated it wasnt his fault. I walked out. I will make sure i yelp this experience as well as facebook twitter and my own personal food blog that i post for travelers coming to our state. Absolutely the worst customer service, lack of accountability, and just over all not caring about your customers. Definitely cost you 1 customer but I will definitely try to...
