Their Classic Chicken sandwich that came out a few years ago has replaced anything else at Popeyes. I know lots of you will argue that their regular chicken is always best, but the juicy breast with no bones to work around always stays moist and the crust is crisp all the way through the sandwich and combined with a brioche-like buns are a delight. I know that I'm eating tons of calories but love it anyway. No other chicken sandwich comes close. I like Popeyes chicken, but when they introduced the now called Classic Chicken sandwich I couldn't enjoy other chicken as much. I found the best fried chicken sandwich and a new favorite food. My husband liked it for a while but returned to his childhood favorite chicken which is great, my other related eating buddy went the way of my husband. So since my husband who has been eating Popeyes most of his life and told me all about it, when it finally moved here but not close, we still drove there once a week to eat it's superior qreasy but crispy beat tasting chicken . My husband eats 4 pieces and the bean and rice and a few sporks full of coleslaw. my live-in relative eats about 6 pieces and likes the fries To most 4th generation Arizonans the mashed potatoes and gravy is a bit gross; it tastes more like boxed potato flakes mashed into artificial gravy, but that's the only negative complaint I can make about Popeyes food. , and there cole slaw is decent. Oh dear, I almost forgot to mention their biscuits. They taste almost as good as my southern mom's family biscuits. Just add butter and honey and you're in heaven. No other chicken...

I wasn't going to subject my Yelp homies to another fast food review so soon (and just you wait because I have some in my review drafts) but yesterday was April Fool's Day and Popeyes had been teasing their Pickle Lemonade.
Then BOOM! On April 1st, Popeyes rolled out a pickle-themed menu with five all-new items: Pickle Glaze Sandwich, Pickle Glaze Bone-In and Boneless Wings, Fried Pickles, and the Pickle Lemonade. I had to. As a pickle lover, I HAD TO! And since some of you have asked, I might as well write a review about it.
I got the Pickle Glaze Sandwich, Fried Pickles, and a Pickle Lemonade. The pickle glazed sandwich was kind of disappointing. The glaze was only on a quarter of the sandwich and it was near the bottom. While the chicken sandwich tasted great, I wouldn't say it was overwhelmingly pickle-y. I couldn't distinguish the difference between the pickle glaze sandwich and their normal chicken sandwich. The fried pickles were a delight. I dipped them with some ranch I had at home (I bet it would have been better with their Popeyes' blackened ranch). As for the pickle lemonade, the thing I was most excited for, it was a let down. It ended up tasting like the brine of butter pickles to me. While I looove a dill pickle, butter pickles are not my jam but I get it. The sweet butter pickles and a sweet lemonade compliments each other more. For me, this was a pass. I actually felt a little queasy towards the end of my drink and I'm someone who drinks pickle brine...
Read moreIf I could give no stars and still leave a review I would. It’s not just this one experience this is many experiences at this location due to it being the closest Popeyes to our current home. I know the standards for Popeyes are definitely higher than what we receive here. The tenders are always rubbery or even closer to beyond well done. The service here is always from a negative person who clearly hates their job. They never get our order right. We always have to wait a long time to receive our incorrect order. I haven’t previously written a review because I wanted to think people have bad days but in this case I will not be back to this location. They actually have the audacity to ask you what sauce you would like only to argue with you about it daily to provide it at all. We have a large family so generally spend between 70 and 80 just for fast food to ask if we got our sauce when they finally bring out our cold over cooked food 30 mins later to be told it should be there. When we point out it’s not there you go back inside like we have just ruined your life to bring us out 2 sauces…. 2 sauces for 30 tenders… someone explain this to me. I’m just lost on this poor customer service. Not sure runs this as I know Popeyes is a franchise but corporate needs to know how poorly this location represents them. Shameful I will drive the extra 30 mins just for...
