I went through the drive through and purchased a box combo with a drink. When I got home, I realized the drive through employee forgot to hand me my drink. Based on the Yelp and Google reviews, this is a common mistake at this location.
I drove back to the store and spoke with the manager, Surman. I asked Surman for my drink that the employee forgot and for a refund to compensate for the employee’s mistake and for the inconvenience of having to drive back to the store. The manager responded with “I can give you a refund but I will not be able to give you a drink.” I said “That’s fine I’ll just buy another drink”.
Surman then walks away to a register to complete the refund transaction and when he returns he gives me the receipt, does not make eye contact, does not say A WORD, and walks away.
I then goes to the cashier and ask to purchase a drink. Surman walks back, denies me service, and tells the cashier “No, he doesn't get to buy a drink because he already got a refund”. At this point I was not allowed to buy anything from this store all because I got a refund for the employee’s mistake.
I tried telling Surman that all I wanted was to buy a drink (because the employee forgot to hand it to me at the drive through) and go home. Surman escalated the situation by telling me I had attitude and because of this, he was denying me service. Surman then proceeded to kick me out of the store.
Not only did Surman kick me out and deny me from buying anything, but he also did not compensate the customer for his employee's mistake. Instead of owning up to his mistakes and correctly training his employees to do their jobs correctly, he denied service to a paying customer.
I called the store about 10 minutes after the incident and requested to speak to a manager. Surman picked up the phone. I told Surman I did not want to speak to him and to please transfer me to another manager because I wanted to file a complaint. Surman then hung up the phone.
I called back and Surman transferred me to another manager (Ryan). Ryan refused to give me his name because it was “private information” to the customer. This is a lie because I could have driven to the store and looked at Ryan’s name tag. Ryan, a manager, refused to give a customer his name, then proceeded to hang up on me. This is the second time I was hung up on by a manager.
I called back and the call was declined three times, so I called a fourth time on my wife's phone. This time Ryan picked up because it was a different number and gladly presented himself as “Ryan the manager” with no issues. So now not only did I get hung up twice, but I was also lied to by two store managers on top of wrongfully being kicked out of the store and denied service for trying to...
Read moreWas in here tonight. Ordered a Caniac combo with 2 extra fingers, no slaw extra toast. Order placed at 4:29pm. Got my drink cup, went to the beverage bar and the manager on duty along with another employee were stocking the counter. Not looking around so I waited. The manager then looked back, saw me standing there and then told me he was stocking and he'd be done shortly, so I waited some more (this is poor service in and of itself). Finally I got to my drink and went back up and waited at the counter. I noticed the display terminal which tells the employees what is in progress and how much time has passed, had been blanked. I asked the employee, who took my order, how much longer it would be (it was now 4:35pm). The employee then asked to see my receipt!
I had not eaten yet today as of this time (I was working on a car all day, and as an autistic person I sometimes lose track of time and forget that I should have eaten earlier, it's an autistic thing so please don't throw arrows at me over it), and was very hungry and a bit hypoglycemic so I was really wanting my food. At this point another employee tells me that I should be patient. I informed this employee that is not something that someone should be telling a customer and at that point I asked for my money back. The manager said he'd give me my money back and then would give me my food ... and then later walked that back but at least allowed me to keep my drink. I told him I had a bad visit and he actually asked me what made my visit bad.
This, folks, is what we get to look forward to at this new location.
I don't think I'll be back here even though it is the closest Cane's to where I live. I have never had this kind of experience at any other Cane's so I don't believe it is systemic in any way shape or form. The management here needs remedial training and the crew needs to be more responsive to the needs of their customers, or this location will eventually fail and this style of management is a drag on the brand as a whole.
I don't expect that the management here...
Read moreTold them my order at the drive through and they read it back to me perfectly fine, get home its the wrong order and again im not mad that its wrong, im mad at the fact its also terrible quality. Highly processed chicken, red40 drinks and soda thats terrible for you, seed oils that dont get replaced in the friers. Seed oils making you have cortisol face. These foods are killing us slowly. Im upset that the food is constantly getting worst and worst quality. Im not mad that my order was wrong, im mad that when i used to go here, everything was crispy, big tenders, and the sauce tasted differently, ever since they sold out, the quality is terrible, chicken is obviously frozen and never fresh, as well as the fries. You can taste it when they give it to you in the drive through. I told them as well make it crispy and again they didnt listen. There is nothing that will make me come back here unless a nation wide ban on the harmful, toxic chemicals and preservatives that are in our foods being fed to us. Im honestly considering a lawsuit, i garuntee canes and any place around here if their food is put under a microscope or tested, its gonna come back with hella preservatives and chemicals. Either from the chicken being injected with growth hormones or the fries not even being good real potatoes. The drinks containing artificial food dyes that are banned in other countries. How is it allowed.
Also i see pictures where the forks is put inside with the food, and i never see the workers using gloves. Considering they touch everywhere and their face, my card. Its cross contamination just there. Ive gotten sick many times from canes food and have stomach aches every time i eat here. Its clear as day, canes is the problem and is...
