Went to go eat lunch with my wife and grandmother. (On 5-2-2021 lunch time) Our food took more than 50 minutes to be served I just had our food packed up so I can Take it home. The was food basic. We didn’t order anything complicated very simple food. Asada tacos, There was more nerve than actual meat. Not worth it and over priced.

2.Vegan tacos, super basic .You would think for the price it would come with guacamole or beans or something and make it more filling.

3Vegan enchiladas. The only good thing about them that they were spicy but unfulfilling. You would think they would Stuff it with some beans or veggies but no just tortilla and red sauce pretty much. Unsatisfying.

I guess the problem was that they were backed up but in some thing with their software. But they didn’t offer any type of compensation for the wait just a bunch of Apologies. A discount or some chips and salsa would’ve been great for the wait.

First and last time that me and my family will eat at Don Felix cafe. The food looks great but deceiving.

The waitress was kind and attentive. I feel bad that she works there ,still gave her tip she was definitely...

If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant that serves up some seriously delicious tacos, look no further than Don Felix Cafe.

I ordered the carne asada tacos, which were some of the best I've ever had. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. But what really blew me away were the vegan tacos. As someone who isn't usually a fan of vegan food, I wasn't expecting much, but these tacos exceeded all my expectations. The filling was hearty and well-seasoned, and the toppings were just as fresh and flavorful as those on the carne asada tacos.

One thing that really sets this restaurant apart is the presentation of the tacos, as most places this is a negative, but as I quickly discovered, the flavors were even better than the presentation. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients really shines through in every bite.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with this Don Felix Cafe and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for delicious tacos. Whether you're a meat-eater or a vegan, you're sure to find something to love...

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. A live Duo was performing. Ordered the Jalapeno Popper Bites.  They were a different experience. Do recommend. A bit spicy tho.  I ordered the Flautas. They were good, the sides not so much. It came with a corn with chili powder on it. That was good. Also came with some rice, which was not so good. I would recommend the restaurant do away with that and instead serve black beans with mangos. They should also add a bit of Guacamole along with the cream they gave.

What I really did not like about this place were the plates the food came on. Looks nice for presentation but not to eat off of. Maybe keep it simple. Or maybe I'm too picky. Either way, I will come back to try...

We really enjoyed this restaurant for lunch today. We wanted to see the jazz and blues festival that was happening on the plaza and did a little search for reviews and once again my friends delivered. The pork Street tacos were absolutely fantastic and hubby had the flautas which was such a unique flavor and chock-full of chicken. We also really liked the street corn. The margaritas are made with some type of guava syrup and they were fantastic, don't skip out on these. What a great spot to enjoy the live jazz and blues music that was happening. Service was fantastic and we would definitely return to this location if we were locals. Total bill for each entrée +2 beers and two margaritas was $54 before tip.

Cafe Don Felix of De Mesilla is actually called Emelia's and it returning to the original name Cafe Don Felix under new ownership. Just off the Mesilla town center we decided to try this local cafe and enjoying dining outside in the courtyard on a lovely warm afternoon in February. We were a bit disappointed in the food because it was not a flavorful or spicey as we normally like. I ordered the Cuban plate and did enjoy the plantaines and the sauce that came with it.
