This weekend we got disrespected even threatened in an inexplicable kind of way. For those that know me for those that know us either together or as a person will know we have hearts of gold and mean no harm to no human, love animals, love nature and mankind as a whole. This weekend we were told we can't show that love, respect, and tolerance for eachother.....why you ask?? Because we are two females showing love and kindness to one another. Dumbfounded by what was asked of us we had to obey and leave one establishment because of this. We weren't angry by more so saddened at the fact that you wouldn't accept the business of two smart, hard working independently woman that were there to give you business eventhough your music, bartenders and atmosphere sucked to the ninth degree. DONT GO TO KARAOKE NIGHT on Sunday nights. The DJ has no clue how to work the equipment, you can’t hear anyone sing because the bass is too high and the DJ gets drunk before hand so she never hears or understands your request. I sang one song, and waited 2 hours for my next song. It wasn’t busy at all. When I asked when I was next, she looked at the list and said “I’ll get to it.” I saw the list, my name wasn’t on there. By that time, I had already requested 3 songs. After my second song, I left. Not worth it if you really want to sing for a crowd. Go somewhere else. I’ve lived in Mesilla for years but never made it out to Palacios until last night for their Sunday karaoke. I have to say I had the absolute best time! Both the bartenders/staff were super welcoming and friendly and the regulars we met were also lots of fun, not to mention they all had incredible karaoke talent! Overall this place is super for a night out. Great ambiance, friendly people, and reasonably priced drinks (plus the bartender is amazing at mixing anything you could think of into something great).
