Great food and excellent atmosphere! This pizza and Italian restaurant opened recently in Metuchen, New Jersey. Word spread quickly of the authentic Italian food and outstanding Pizza. There is indoor and outdoor seating if you get there after 5 PM there may be a wait. we had the eggplant Parmesan dinner, pizza Margherita, penne vodka and baked lasagna.The sausage Stromboli is a great go to if you want to not make a mess like I do. Everything was authentic, with quality ingredients. It is obvious that the owner does not take shortcuts when it comes to making delicious Italian cuisine. He is also available and assisting staff and interacting with customers. Which is always a good sign of a well-run restaurant. By the way, the prices are seriously outstanding in terms of the amount of food that you get for a sit down dinner. In all honesty we have paid more for delivery for subpar food than we did just coming here and eating it.

I just left this place. I ordered 2 slices. The young kid behind the register, seems like a nice fellow. Probably not his fault however, common sense should dictate never handle food when touching money. I witnessed him and I'm sure everyone else in that line handle cash at the register and then grabbing the pizza slices into the oven. He's the cashier handling money and preping the food. This surely is something the owners are probably aware of. Absolutely 💯 disgusting. I've seen cash in the worst of places! I threw both slice the heck out. I was tempted to say something to him right in the spot but I didn't want to embarrass him in front of the line that had formed. Get a grip people! La Rosa has the Best Italian restaurant and pizzeria in Metuchen! Went here with my family on a Tuesday night and the food was amazing. I had the Penne Vodka with Chicken and My sister had Chicken Parm and my parents had different salad dishes. We shared an app of Garlic Bread and Meatballs. Everything was cooked perfectly and it was a delicious meal. The waitress Riley, was very friendly attentive to the table had a great attitude and lovely smile. She deserves a raise for sure. All and all a great place to enjoy an Italian meal. On Wednesdays there’s a sign saying they have live music in the evening so I’ll have to return for that sometime.
