Hammond's Bakery — Restaurant in Miami Gardens

I ordered delivery from here today based off the reviews and boy was I disappointed. 😞 I ordered oxtails, curry chicken, and brown stew chicken all dinners comes with rice and peas, cabbage, and plaintains. First I have to say that the packaging was horrendous, its like they piled a whole lot of rice in a small cheap container and the gravy was spilled in all of the bags, a complete mess. I first had to open each bag and container and transfer the food to bowls and rush to get the bags out of the house. After transferring the food to bowls I was finally able to fix our plates to eat. The only meat 2 of my family members eat is chicken and I'm the only one that eats beef. I tasted both the brown stew and curry chicken and it was just meh...they didn't like it at all. So I fix my oxtail plate and sit down to eat, I wish I had read the review on here about the burnt oxtails, then I probably wouldn't have ordered them because that review was absolutely correct. They were burnt and tasted burnt which made the rice with the gravy taste burnt. I had to throw the whole thing in the garbage. Thankfully the app I ordered on gave me back the $17 plus tax for that plate. Although we threw the rest of the food away I didn't complain. I’ve been a loyal Hammond’s customer for many years. Even while living out of state, I regularly had a dozen Callaloo patties shipped to me. Recently, I made the drive from West Palm Beach, where I now live, to pick up my usual order in person.

On the way home, I couldn’t resist enjoying one of the patties—and it was just as delicious as I remembered. But to my surprise, the next one I bit into was filled with ground stew chicken. As it happened, the entire batch had been mislabeled.

I contacted the bakery, and I was truly impressed by how quickly and professionally the management team handled the situation. Not only did they identify and correct the issue right away, but they went above and beyond by personally delivering a fresh batch of patties directly to my home. And let me just say—they were the best I’ve ever had from Hammond’s: perfectly flaky and full of flavor.

To make up for the mix-up, they included six additional patties in the delivery—three of which were ackee and saltfish, and just as delicious. This kind of transparency, responsiveness, and generosity defines outstanding customer service. Hammond’s is setting the standard, and I couldn’t be more...

I would "NEVER" go back to this store locations because of the service i received from the cashiers..

I noticed they offer good customer service when its busy / crowed during lunch..

But if you go there and it appears to be empty the women would be so. Focued on the music and there conversation..

That they dont take the time to greet you / acknowledge that you're in the store ( This happened several times)

The last time i went there and placed my order I had a $20 bill in my hand. The woman was reaching for my money... I asked "how much do it cost" The cashier response was "just gimme the money nah man"

Her friend smiled as if it was a joke but you DON'T!! talk and treat customers like that...

Therefore i would NEVER!! go back to Hammond's establishment because i prefer to go where i'm respected / appreciated as a customer and receive service with a smile...
