Sadly, today I have to edit my review for Gauchos Gourmet Market. While I continue to, Overall, enjoy this Neighborhood Market, Deli-Resto/Bar, in the past few months I've noticed during my visits that their Staff, unfortunately, is not as attentive as in the past. Today, however, I was truly disappointed upon ordering A Deli Platter of Smoked Salmon, which I requested be served with Croissant instead of the usual Bagel (not minding if there were an xtra charge) - The server, a young girl with not a very welcoming disposition, said she would check with the kitchen; upon her return she said they could not substitute it. I proceeded to order it anyway, requesting that they serve it open faced, as I would not be eating the bagel. I was unpleasantly surprised they wouldn't even accommodate that request, which wouldn't have taken much effort from the kitchen staff (Assuming my server adked). Mind you I am bringing this up, because this establishment is not a Starbucks or even Einstein-like chain coffee shop/deli, where their food offerings are for the most part pre-prepared/packaged. Gauchos' sets out to be a "Gourmet/Upscale" Market/Deli (with pricing to go along with that definition) with a kitchen staff that prepares food made to order, yet they could not or were not willing to accommodate such simple request ~ which would have made all the difference to this patron.
I find this to be quite significant as I truly do enjoy having a more unique "Gourmet" establishment located in the heart of our neighborhood; a place where you don't have to venture far from home to go enjoy a variety of offerings for all hours of the day - be it breakfast, Snack, Happy Hour Cocktails, a Fine bottle of Wine or Dinner. However, and unfortunately, I don't know about you but this patron, when choosing a more upscale establishment, in a neighborhood surrounded by lots other establishments offering comparable food & drink, looks for the service to be part of the experience. I truly hope Management at Gauchos Gourmet Market takes notice & makes the necessary adjustments to bring the establishment up to par, as I would be very disappointed to have to stop...
Read moreFolks if you're looking for cheap don't come here. This place embodies a lifestyle. Doesn't sell meats and cheeses it sells a lifestyle. This place embodies the miami lakes lifestyle and is a gourmet like the name reads market so prices aren't Wal-Mart rates nor do the patrons that support Gaucho want it to be because we believe in value and high caliber people visiting the market. This is a unique concept that i believe should be applauded . A met market with best cuts of meat around and while there you can enjoy also the cheese deli offering brie and camerbert cheeses la tabla espanol was delicious and fair pieced to at $15. There's always la Carreta for the budget conscious and grazianos although exquisite in its own right isn't this concept. Let's compare Apple's to apples this is a unique place with a superb atmosphere located in the town of Miami lakes. For the wine aficionados you have quite the malbec selection. You can't miss it as it takes up the entire back wall of the open wine cellar sitting area room. Decorated in very modern style gauchos has inside seating and outside seating . The cappuchino....is comparable to the ones had in Italy and new York. Tiramisu compare to little Italy in New York. Creamy and full tasting . Please visit this place and make up your own mind because as a business woman I am I almost didn't come because of the 2 other neurotic folks here speaking their truth but atvthr end of the day is their experience and doesn't have to be yours . I went and I couldn't be happier. By the way is Miami so yeah folks won't know English it is what it is is not north Carolina so one can focus on that or focus on the other 10 positive aspects of this awesome nook. Great meeting place for business meetings or to dine out. Casual or dressy are also welcomed for what I saw. Nothing and no-one is perfect in life . This place was...
