My girlfriend and I wanted to find a spot to have breakfast and found this place on google maps. A few bullet points of my impression are: -The place is very nice, good lighting, nicely decorated. -Conveniently located with a nice selection from the menu. But the cons seem to outweigh the pros: -The cashier looked unkept, uniform stained and did not give a good presentation of the company as she is the first point of contact -Small flies hovering around food to include (the baked goods in the glass which when we saw immediately knew we were not ordering anything from there; as well as when our name was called to pick up my food there were flies hovering as well. -I understand the tip culture but I do not see the necessity to tip if I have to pick up my own food (that’s more a personal opinion) also; -the atmosphere of the place does not match the service as we are being called on a speaker system like we are in a fast food restaurant, which also stops the music with a loud bust of someone’s name…speaker is way too loud!! -presentation of the food was poor…very poor, although, the food did taste good (hats off to chef)
Overall, the experience was not as pleasant as we would have thought upon walking in. Hopefully there are some changes and this review helps improve the overall dynamic of the restaurant.
P.S. the speaker system disturbs the peace of...
Read moreI visited this place while on a short visit to Miami. It was early morning and I was craving shakshuka and coffee. A quick Google search led me here. Aroma Espresso Bar is a remarkably clean, stylish, large café with an extensive food, drink, and smoothie menu. I'm currently keto and greatly appreciated being able to replace the bread for avocado with a small upcharge. A gentleman named Guy who seemed to be the manager was most accommodating, very personable, and such a bright and refreshing addition to my early morning. Christina, who I think is a shift lead, was so sweet. She offered to make my latte half-caff when I said in passing that I'm a little sensitive to caffeine. She is an angel with a that service industry intuition. The crowd here seemed to be regulars and were also enjoying their experiences. I was able to claim a table and leave my items unattended. The outdoor seating is so vibrant and enjoyable, too. I felt comfortable reading and sipping there for a while. Every now and then Christina would make sure I didn't need anything. Coffee places are usually unremarkable outside of their ability to quickly put a correctly crafted latte in a to go cup in a timely manner, but this place earned a must visit multiple times during my stay rating. I will be back everytime I'm in Miami :) Love the food/drink, vibes,...
Read moreWaited to visit this place for the third time before writing this review just to give it a final chance but things didn’t get any better, on the contrary. Place looks pretty nice, good ambiance, enjoyable atmosphere, but it really fails badly on staff training and service. Lack of knowledge on product and preparation was a constant on every visit. Wait times above 20 mins even when asking for a black coffee and without queue. One of the things that impacted me the most was a time when I asked for eggs and chicken breast. I was served the plate with only a fork, and when I asked for knife, they went look for one and came back 6 mins later saying, we don’t have available knives, we’ll keep an eye on them and bring you one whenever there’s one available. Shockingly enough given that the plate was already cold by the time of that answer. I wanted to like this place, since I was staying as a guest on the same building and given the convenience of its location, but never a good service in any of the visits. Same goes for 2 more residents which I asked them about the place and still the same answer. Worst...
