Bistro Café Miami is the kind of place that makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about brunch. It’s bold, indulgent, and unapologetically over-the-top—in the best way possible.
First, the portions. They don’t just serve food here; they present edible works of art on plates the size of small islands. The Stuffed Avocado? A masterpiece of creamy, savory goodness. The Skirt Steak Omelette? Packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and enough to keep you satisfied for hours. And the French Toast? It doesn’t just arrive at your table—it makes an entrance. Towering, lavishly adorned, and almost too pretty to eat (but trust me, you will).
This visit I had the Blueberry Pancakes, Fried Chicken BLT, Caramel Latte, and a fresh OJ, and every bite was next-level. The Blueberry Pancakes? Fluffy, loaded with fresh berries, and drizzled with just the right amount of syrup—dessert disguised as breakfast in the best possible way. The Fried Chicken BLT? A monster of a sandwich, with crispy, perfectly seasoned chicken, thick-cut bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, all held together with just the right amount of sauce. It’s comfort food that somehow still feels elevated. The Caramel Latte was smooth, not overly sweet, and exactly what I needed to wake up properly. And that OJ? Freshly squeezed and bursting with citrusy goodness—none of that artificial stuff.
Now, let’s talk service. Oliver was an absolute rockstar. Attentive but never overbearing, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. You can tell he enjoys working here, which says a lot about the place. He had great recommendations and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish.
Then there’s the ambiance—modern yet inviting, with just the right amount of flair. Whether you’re inside soaking in the vibrant decor or enjoying Miami’s sunshine on the patio, it’s the kind of place where time slows down, and every bite feels like a moment worth savoring.
Pro tip: Don’t leave without trying one of their coffee creations. The Lavender Mojito is a revelation—smooth, fragrant, and unlike anything else in the city. And if you’ve got a sweet tooth, the Nutella & Fruit Pancakes will ruin all other pancakes for you.

Read moreI recently visited Bistro Cafe for brunch on a weekday, and despite it not being a weekend, the place was packed. There was a line waiting to get in, and we had a long wait for indoor seating. To avoid the wait, we decided to sit outside, which turned out to be a good choice given the pleasant weather.
We started with drinks, ordering the Spicy Mango Margarita, Fresh Lemonade, Lavender Mojito, and the Dragon Margarita. Each drink was delicious and well-crafted. The Spicy Mango Margarita and the Dragon Margarita stood out as my favorites; they were strong yet flavorful. The Lavender Mojito, though visually appealing, didn’t impress me as much in terms of taste, although my girlfriend thought it was fine. The lemonade was exceptionally good, clearly made from fresh-squeezed lemons and not from concentrate like at many other places.
For our meals, we chose the Caen Omelette, Waffle Loco, and the Quesadilla Gitana. The portion sizes were generous for all dishes. The Quesadilla Gitana was particularly impressive, loaded with a substantial amount of meat and thick cuts. I could only finish half and took the rest to go. The Caen Omelette was flavorful and well-seasoned, and the portion size was satisfying. The Waffle Loco was a hit as well; the waffles were delicious, and the combination of egg and cheese made it a hearty meal.
Our waiter, Andrey, was outstanding. Despite having many tables to manage, he took his time with us, patiently answering our questions and offering recommendations for both drinks and dishes. His excellent service added to our positive experience.
The food was delicious, and the drinks were top-notch. I can easily see why there was a line even on a weekday. This has become my favorite brunch spot in Miami during my week-long stay.
The only downside to my experience was the management's practice of having waiters ask for reviews. This has happened at almost every restaurant I visited in Miami, and it seems to inflate scores artificially. Bistro Cafe is excellent in its own right and doesn’t need to solicit reviews to prove its quality.
Bistro Cafe offers a fantastic brunch experience with great food, delicious drinks, and excellent service. Despite the minor issue with review solicitation, it remains a must-visit...
Read moreBistro cafe is amazing; I have never been so jealous while waiting for my food. Every dish that walks by you looks like a work of art. My wife and I went twice in one weekend because there isn’t another place quite like it. We ordered four food items: Churro Pancakes, the Cristobal Omelette (or something similar), Creme Brûlée French Toast, and the Ignacio Breakfast Sandwich.
The Churro Pancakes were delicious, but very very sweet due to the dulce de leche cream between each pancake. If you get breakouts easily I would avoid, otherwise they are phenomenal. I would give them a 4/5 overall!
My Favorite was the Crème Brûlée French Toast. Not too sweet with lots of fruit and flavor! I give it a 5/5 star all day. Must try if you love french toast!
The Cristobal Omelette and the Ignacio Burger left something to be desired for me personally. They were flavorful, but were lacking per-bite consistency (if that makes sense). Like, you might get too much or too little of one flavor in each bite and it changes the enjoyability of each bite. If you like steak and chorizo you might enjoy these dishes, but for me it was a 3/5 for these two. The hash-browns and bread stick that came with the dishes were good but not worth a spotlight.
I also tried a basic lavender latte which was not bad, 3.5/5. Would definitely prefer a dedicated espresso bar or my own homemade lattes.
I give the atmosphere a 4/5. A lot of people seemed to bring their dogs here for some reason (prob for pics) which I am not that fond of. The atmosphere is very nice and is pretty open so it’s not like you are sitting on top of other people or having dogs in your face or anything but it does detract from the experience watching dog slobber drop to the floor while eating IMO 😬… but please don’t be deterred because this place is amazing and well worth a visit! We were seated immediately both times (and it was packed) and the food took around 20-30 minutes to come out. That may seem long but you will be ready to eat after watching all of the delicious food walk past you.
Overall, 5/5 restaurant. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and we will definitely be back to try some of the sandwiches and quesadillas. You will NOT be dissatisfied...
