The only review you need to read:
First off, it’s impossible for anyone to give this place 5 stars. You don’t know how to review a restaurant if you do. 5 means perfect, amazing, can’t improve. Did you visit this location !? It’s disgusting. It’s in a bad part of town, in a dark, dirty little spot with a few tables crammed together. You order at a cashier. And the service is AWFUL. I asked the person her recommendations. It was like talking to a wall. She couldn’t give recommendations, had zero desire to help at all. We ended up spending $300.
They charge you a 10% fee to dine in. And then ask for a 20% tip. We didn’t realize and tipped on top of the fee. They don’t clean off tables for you, they don’t give you plates, or silverware. You can grab some paper plates and plastic forks. Does any of this sound 5 star to you ?
Now for the food. At $35++ for a pizza, it’s average. The dough is not fermented, it’s not airy, and sits heavy in your stomach. I seem to know more about making pizza than the owners of this pizza shop. You need to ferment your dough, why are you charging $35 for a pizza if you aren’t taking extra steps to make it special ?
The hot honey pizza was awful. The sugar from the honey and the grease from the pepperoni made it feel like I was going to throw up if I finished my slice.
The cheese pizza was the best thing we ate, but if you want a cheese pizza, there are plenty of places not in a ghetto part of town for half the price, so why would you go here ?
This is all hype. They got some social media buzz a while ago but it’s fading out.
The owners can clearly see a lot of complaints about your service, but seem to do nothing about it. Honestly do not come to this place. It’s the grimiest place I’ve eaten at in a decade. Would never ever return.
Another note, as we were eating a foul smelling homeless person walked in with a cup and went table to table asking for money, not a single staff member said a word. I guess for this part of town they are just use to it. If the pizza was free, I still wouldn’t visit...
Read moreOrdered online and was told 30 minutes. Great that’s fine. Got to Eleventh street pizza only to be told 4 times that my pies would be out in 20 minutes each time i asked. Waiting around for well over an hour we asked again when our pizzas would be ready only to find out they weren’t even in the ovens yet!! Not only are the pies way over priced, but the owner and workers were very nasty! At least the one young lady working there was somewhat nice when she realized how upset we were. Cancelled our pies and took a couple of slices that just came out of the oven. (Mind you we were bringing these two pies to a party and they completely ruined that for us) Anyway, the pizza needs a lot of improvement. The sauce is terrible and bitter and the cheese ratio is lacking. The crust is good but that’s about it. There are better places in the area with better service and owners who aren’t going to be snarky when you want to know where your food is and why a pizza would take well over an hour and 30 minutes. If they can’t take the heat of multiple orders in one night , they should stay out...
Read moreThe long wait is why I can only give it three stars. I was a fan of their original concept and looking forward to trying the instafamous Eleventh Street Pizza after downtown drinks. Wait, they have meatballs on the menu? Even better..until nah.
I get it that it was on a Friday night, but the wait was a little longer than I cared for. They had one person at the register and four people in the back kitchen area. As it were, some cops who were waiting to eat also had to leave.
Only after I got up to inquire about the meatballs were they brought to me. Don't places usually bring plates out as they're ready? Anyway I could have stayed waiting since the meatballs lacked the flavor of the original Fooqs dish.
As much as I eat out and write here, normally I wouldn't complain about price. Maybe I was on a mood because of the long wait. My hot honey pepperoni pizza was flavorful, sweet and hot. But was it $36 yummy? That's a price I'd expect to pay at "that Italian place whose name begins with a C and hard to get a...
