To be fair my first 8 months here were great but the last 3-4 were very unpleasant. I also have never given a bad review until now so take that for what it’s worth.
Two big things happened.
Valet scraped the rims on my car and refused to take ownership.
The car itself is a multi six figure vehicle and the rims are a multi 5 figure investment.
After seeing the car I reported it to the valet who told me that essentially seeking a claim wouldn’t be fruitful as I had already driven the car off the lot and i couldn’t prove they had done it.
Conveniently the garage has no cameras and no one wanted to take ownership.
Things happen so I said it’s fine just please don’t drive it anymore. I removed my keys from their possession and kept them in my unit.
Shortly after that management threatened to tow/sticker my vehicle if I did not return the keys to them. I understand they are just doing their jobs but it’s bizarre to me that they’d ruin my vehicle and then threaten to tow my car if I didn’t continue to let them drive it.
My lawyer had to get Involved and I ultimately left early because of how unpleasant things became.
I could’ve been more amicable, but it’s not fun to be treated like that when you’ve done nothing wrong and my response seemed very rational.
They only let 2 people in your unit with COVID going on.
The state mandate is 10 yet they have a rule for 2. Again they’re just doing their jobs but I have a 5000 square foot unit and work a business from home.
After inviting 8 people over they turned off all my fobs to access the elevators and turned away my gf many times from coming up.
I live on the top floor.
They even made it difficult for my family to see me.
Other buildings in the area were letting upwards of 30+ guests into units. My friends being some of them.
I pay top dollar to live in one of the nicest, if not best unit in this building. It’s unfortunate I was treated in this manner as it caused...
Read moreThis beautiful building downtown Miami is wonderfully centralized in location. When you walk in you are greeted by the valet guy that parks your car for a valet service fee. There's a door guy that kindly awaits you to open the door. When you enter your nose is wonderfully hit with a spa-like aromic fresh clean smell, you see stylish modern furniture, and are greeted by the front desk employees. You feel very safe here since security is on it. It has amazing up-to-date apartments with spectacular views of the Miami Cityscape and the Cruisehip port area. The Miami lights are mesmerizing as the night life comes to life. The building has a park across the street with rentable uber bikes and uber electric scooters to get you around. The planetarium, restaurants, a CVS, and many other other venues are easy to walk to in this neighborhood. Everything is conveniently close. This building has several pools that have the perfect temperature with some having a resistance for swimming. It provides bathrooms, a spa, sauna, and a gym. You have to know someone to visit unless you live there ofcourse. The owners and tenants are a collective yet friendly and interesting people of all walks of life. A lot of dog owners and furry kids. Most people you see are youthful, good-looking, and go-getters. It's a great experience everytime I visit my friend. I truly enjoy it! If you happen to be able to know someone living there you'll experience the finer things in life!...
Read moreI lived in this building for a year. The building itself was fantastic, as were the neighbors. The owner of my unit, was on the other hand, a complete dead-beat. Moved in with many “tick-list” items … in 12-months, 1 was addressed and that took 3+ months. The landlord’s “property manager” was equally useless.
From day one … the landlord was uncooperative as was the PM. The unit had tiles popping up from the backer-board (in the shower). These were so bad, I cut my toe and twas hospitalized for septicemia, on my Birthday … not one bit of concern was shown by the landlord or the PM.
Over the course of my tenancy, I made regular and timely rent payments. I overstayed my lease … because I was also sure I would never be reimbursed for my lease-deposit or for the money I spent improving the unit itself.
I will not name names today … as I am suing the landlord for breach of contract, real-estate fraud, libel, unsafe living conditions, lost wages, medical expenses, attorney's fees and expense reimbursement.
What did I learn : never take possession of a property until the property is “as advertised and...
