CRAFT Bayside — Restaurant in Miami

When I arrived, the staff seem irritated and I said I just needed a seat for myself. I was windy outside and I mentioned I did not want to sit outside and they said that they were extremely busy. I asked if I could sit at the bar and they responded with, yeah.

It took several minutes for someone to acknowledge me and ask for what I wanted. I then waited 50 minutes for my breakfast to arrive. I was approached by two people during those 50 minutes, apologizing and saying that there was something going on upstairs, which was causing the delay. But for a solo diner to wait that long for breakfast is ridiculous. Even the person who arrived after me got their breakfast before me.

I was told that I would receive a discount on my breakfast which turns out it was $2.85 off. I don’t think that was enough for the amount of time that I actually had to wait for my food.

Ordered an pizza (vegetarian) for take-away - ie, pick up. I got to the counter to ask about it but no-one working there took the initiative to serve the next person in line. They weren't busy just, seemingly, taking a break while customers were in need of attention.

Finally they were able to track down my pizza - the only one sitting on the counter - as they struggled with the system to find my order. Both on my way in and way out, I was almost bumped into by a staff member and had to avoid them both times.

So I can't say much for the service here (keeping in mind that I wasn't a dine-in customer). But the pizza was excellent. Cooked to perfection and the toppings came together really nicely. There was a dark red dipping sauce, slightly spicy, that came with it that was delicious too.

Always had good experiences here at happy hour with my coworkers, until this weekend we ordered some pizza and meatballs off uber eats, and upon dipping my fork into the meatball sauce and taking a bite, i nearly cracked my tooth on this piece of plastic that was in the sauce. It has these plastic prongs that came off when i bit it and were in my mouth, i had to immediately spit the food out and wash my mouth with water. I could have swallowed this or cracked my tooth upon biting it. I would not trust any food from here if they don’t know that this huge plastic cap looking thing was in the food they are serving. I was lucky that it was my first bite because I threw away the rest of the disgusting contaminated food. Will never eat here again. I knew never to trust a restaurant with a nasty bathroom so i guess...
