The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of one is because we didn’t even get to try the food. It may have been good but we didn’t even get that far. I have gone to several sushi makis around miami and the restaurants are nice, the fish is fresh and it’s normally a great experience. Sushi maki should be embarrassed to have their name associate with this location. Think sushi cafeteria for a good visual. We walked in and everyone just stared at us. No one spoke to us and said seat yourselves or we will be right with you. After what felt like a good 10 minutes we decided to just seat ourselves. The restaurant was fairly empty. All of the available tables were dirty with overturned drinks, dirty napkins, dirty dishes and food remnants. The floors were also so sticky the soles of your shoes stuck to them. After another few minutes I asked the only worker that seemed to be not in kitchen area if she could please clean a table. She took a paper napkin, no disinfectant, and just proceeded to pushed all the spilled drink and food all over the table and walked away. We of course sat somewhere else that was less dirty. Did I mention there’s no servers either. You scan a code and order through your phone and pay through your phone. The menu is also not the full sushi maki menu. While we were debating what to order the same lady that “cleaned the table” with no disinfectant came out of the kitchen holding a sliced mango with her bare hands that was for someone’s dish. She then left and reappeared in the kitchen with a cleaning bucket and supplies and then came back moments later holding someone’s food. I was already disgusted by this as it’s extremely unsanitary but what was the final straw was she then stood in the middle of the restaurant with the plate of food and started to scream and the top of the lungs the man’s name who the order belonged to. She did this over and over and over. Mind you there were only 2 other tables occupied. Just walk up to them and ask. We walked out after that and I will not be going back. Do yourself a favor and go to the sushi maki in south miami or the gables. Those are actual clean restaurants with servers and what you would expect from a sushi restaurant. This sushi maki should be reported for health and safety...

[THUNDEROUS CRASH] What the heck was that? OH thats just the creepy ex-wives book club dropping the jumbo Jenga blocks on the ground. One too many flat Kirin Lights Tati? Typical Tati and her Jenga shenanigans. We love Tati around here.
But they have crayons so the kids can eat them instead of the pond fish they used to make their rainbow roll. Writing this from the toilet. Blessings to you all. A pox...
