This is a budget hotel pretending to be luxury. First off, we had to wait 30 minutes to check in to our room because the front desk couldn’t figure out how to apply a gift card. The nice thing to do would have been to check us in and figure out how to apply the gift card on her own time, instead of making us wait while she called people to figure it out. She even suggested we just wait until the next day when her manager was there, way after check-out time when we would have already left the hotel. We had to basically insist she check us in that day, for our one night reservation. The room had a balcony separated by a cloth from the other room next to us, providing no privacy. We heard a baby in the room next to us screaming all night, so the rooms obviously don’t have appropriate sound dampening. The phone and fridge in our room were not working as well. The breakfast buffet is 20$ and only had cold items, it looked worse than the most basic free best western breakfast I’ve seen a million times. Read moreAbsolutely unprofessional. Great building, but the staff (at least in the morning) actively want to make their guests’ days worse. Maybe the front desk was having a bad day, but there is NO WAY to get in contact with them while you are in your room. If you call, it sounds like the phone is picked up briefly then put back on hold. I went down to find that is exactly what they were doing. No “hold one moment” or “thanks for waiting” just endless picking it up just before it runs out rings, then setting it right back down. Purposelessly extending the wait and frustration of those calling. When I asked why she didn’t just say “one more moment,” I was yelled at and told the manager wouldn’t arrive for over another hour so essentially the front desk could do whatever they wanted.

Read moreWe stayed over New Year's. We always have very good service from the Front Desk. Marina is fantastic, friendly, & efficient. Lucky to have her represent the hotel. Raul at the front desk is also very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and we requested an upper floor and end of the hall. Marina accommodated that request. I appreciated that. I received a confirmation from the hotel before our stay and was able to upgrade in the email. and that email was appreciated. I used the pool area and it is such a fantastic space and needs some paint. Please do that. Kind of a turn off to see all the chipped paint in the pool area. We stayed 2 nights and did not have housekeeping. We had our sign out and no one came by 4:00 so we took the sign down. I was able to get fresh towels. We stay at the Arya 1 or 2 times a year and always a great spot....
