What a wonderful way to start a beautiful night out at the Arsht! It was my first time going to Teatro and I was skeptical upon reading so many negative reviews but had a wonderful experience. Whoever is saying $55 is not a good deal for a delicious appetizer and main course in a beautiful serviced restaurant conveniently located in a theater steps away from your show must not get out much these days or just living in the past…it’s extremely difficult to find this kind of pricing in a nice downtown/Brickell restaurant. I also think the menu, although prix fixe, has tons of options.
Our experience started off wonderful from the start with the amazing service from Laticcia. I came in already a bit a stressed because the metromover got delayed so we were almost 15 minutes late to our reservation. Laticcia immediately put my mind at ease assuring me service was very quick as they’re mindful of the show time and we had plenty of time. And she was right! I really appreciated Laticcia’s enthusiasm for recommending me various dishes, as I was torn between a lot of the options. She was very smart to recommend my husband and I both get an appetizer to try more appetizers and instead buy a dessert additionally and share it. The perfect amount of food. We had the shrimp and the tamale appetizer, both amazing! I chose to have the steak and my husband had the pasta dish. Both delicious! I also see complaints about the portioning of the food - I found the portions to be perfectly acceptable and was not hungry at all. It wouldn’t make sense to have giant portions resulting in leftovers since you’re going to a show immediately after. The bread pudding was our choice for dessert and it was beautifully presented with a little boat to pour the sauce over. One surprising thing from the meal was the bread - it was so delicious and perfectly salted! I could have eaten four of them!
I also really appreciated the decor - a beautiful homage to the theater both in the ambiance but even the menu had a beautiful theater motif. I was very surprised to see so many people coming in with less than an hour before the show, some even 30 minutes before showtime! The restaurant definitely started to pick up very shortly before showtime and servers got noticeably stressed. Please be mindful of your servers and try to come at a reasonable time before the show. They are working very quickly, but they and the kitchen are not superhuman and not giving enough time to be served will also downgrade the quality of service and possibly the food.
Overall, I absolutely recommend Teatro and am shocked by the negative reviews! The food is portioned appropriately, priced appropriately for the area and convenience, delicious with so many options, and service was exceptional. I’ve already made our next reservation for when we see the...
Read moreIf you ever get the chance to catch a show at the Adrienne Arsht Center but you have not gotten a bite to eat before your show. Then look no further than the Teatro Resturant. Give it a try like I did! The pictures does not do this beautiful Resturant any justice. Gorgeous place to be in, the music 🎶 playing on the speakers weren't memorable. I believe old style jazz music which I love but did not grab my attention in the same way the Gorgeous red decor did.
Live band, live singing would elevate this place, so if your a manager suggest this in the next staff meeting with the coordinator and owner. The menu is provided online so you can check it before you make your reservation. Make sure you cancelled at least 48 hours, I used then OpenTable website and they informed me before I made my reservation about cancelation. $52 dollar course + 20% gratuity fee. Edwin my waiter was attentive and gracious. I gave him an additional tip.

I enjoyed my Carbonara entree but man was that shrimp chewy and stringy. That's the only downside to the food I ate. Nice portion size, not too heavy or light. My strawberry Sorbet was dairy free but was so creamy with great texture. My very first lemon drop I ever had, and the lemon Floating in my drink was a nice touched, I also liked how Edwin gave me the option to have sugar on the rim...
Read moreSeemed like a great place, but we were seated and never offered a drink. Got some bread and then got ignored for 15 minutes. This was before a concert, so we simply got up and left. Multiple staff members saw us just sitting there, including the manager. If he had paid any attention, he would have noticed something was wrong. One server even came over and stood five feet from our table surveying the restaurant. This staff is poorly trained at reading body language. It seems like a dinner trying to be fine dining. I watched a server deliver food asking where it went. I watched the wrong drink get delivered to a table. Mind you, I was only there for 15 minutes. The cherry on top was the same manager who walked by us, thanking us for coming in on...
