Amazing spot for breakfast!
I visited this place the first time while they had a sort of pop up store in Brickell area. Unfortunately it seems to be closed permanently now. I had an apple croissant and it was superb! And this is why I decided to go to the location in Biscayne Boulevard.
The food is amazing. This time I tried the pancakes. The taste is wonderful you can eat them without the syrup (Which I did) and of course after my first experience, I wanted again an apple croissant but unfortunately they were sold out.
What I didn’t like was the coffee. I normally order coffee with non dairy milk and it is OK but this time was too watery and no coffee flavor at all. Probably just a bad day.
Sitting may be challenging in peak hours and even when the place seems cozy I think the chairs are not the most comfortable.
Service is great, but it could be slow. They changed our coffee once we gave them feedback.
Prices are OK. $20 average per person.
I will come back to try some of the salty dishes and hopefully I can get an apple...
Read moreA hole-in-the-wall bakery and breakfast joint with a French flair. I started with cafe Cubano, made with a high-quality coffee and properly sugared. The eggs Benedict were good, not perfect. Poached eggs are tricky to get them right. These were just a bit overcooked, with solid yellow yolk topped with that delicious golden-orange runny yolk that I crave. Served with some slices of good Canadian bacon and a well-prepared Hollandaise sauce--it came together in my mouth deliciously. On the side was a small fruit bowl with some berries, chunks of papaya and banana. A perfect accompaniment. Curiously, there was a half-tomato roasted with some fresh garlic that was an interesting counterpoint to the sweet fruit and the salty taste of the Canadian bacon. Service was prompt and cheerful. The baked good looks scrumptious, but had no room left to try something. Next time I go there, I'm starting off...
Read moreAfter being here many times to have breakfast, today I had the worst experience. As usual, I ordered salmon benedicts and a beet juice. The juice came right after, but the eggs took almost 30 min just to discover they were still raw. Yolk and white were both liquid. I asked the waitres to have it done correctly, and his answer was, "They are supposed to be like that." Are you kidding me? They are disgusting, and I won't pay for them. so he finally took them back with an attitude. Had to wait another 15 min for the eggs to come out this time the right way. The bill was $38 with 18% tip imposed. Bad service with attitude doesn't deserve tips. I will never return to this place. This kind of people will bring down a bussines. Hopefully, the owner will see this before it...
