Terrible service a 2nd time in a row. Went to wing night last night and management apparently doesn't pay attention to events happening in the Berg. Two bartenders were attempting to serve the busy place while a pub crawl was going on. I ordered wings and waited forever to get another beer. I had to walk to the bar to get my friends second beverage while one of the overwhelmed bartenders was arguing with a pub crawl customer(arguing happened multiple times). The family next to us was also unhappy so the wife took the kids and left the husband there. The husband seemed to be pissed about the understaffing. The wings were very good. I only ate half of them waiting for another beer and when I asked for a box I was told they don't give boxes out on wing night. I I didnt know that and I don't believe they have that posted anywhere. I fully understand you're not supposed to ask for a box at a buffet or an all you can eat, but because the service was so terrible we needed to leave. I guess I was lucky enough to have the server bring me a small piece of foil to take my wings. I worked in a restaurant and watching the two young ladies run around like chickens with their head cut off there should have been at least four employees working because of the pub crawl. As we were leaving there was another group of 15 people walking in. I'm sure their night was rough the rest of...
Read moreI've been here twice. Beer is pretty mediocre. Not very robust, almost watery. Not a place to go if you like darker beers. To be fair, it was summer, not the typical season for porters and stouts. Food was good though portions seemed kind of small. Guacamole was very good, the wings were both huge and delicious. Tacos were cute, but not very filling. Atmosphere was so-so. Kinda felt like a place where people go because they think its cool, not necessarily for the food or beer. Was very warm first time I went. Discovered that they had a tiny air conditioner cooling a pretty sizable room. Pool table and pinball machines were nice to see, especially given the scarcity of televisions. Not a place I would go to watch sports, though I don't believe its meant to be a sports bar of any sort. Outdoor seating area was nice. Service wasn't terrible but wasn't outstanding either. Would rate it as "good enough." Overall value was ok. I would go back on wing night, but other than that, there are places...
Read moreLucky Star is a nice brewpub /micro brewery tasting room kind of place that continues to upgrade and improve over time. They have quite a selection of beers available and a surprisingly good, unique margarita to drink. Their food choices are good, including the tacos which I usually get (chicken or steak are my preference). It's a nice relaxed place with good drinks and food. When the weather is right, the patio is great to hang out with friends. It's even dog friendly on the patio, though the servers can't technically continue to deliver food to the patio once a dog appears, so keep that in mind. Glad to have dogs - just hope that the state stops being stupid about that. Overall, a nice place to hang out and relax with some good...
