Been here a few times. Wish I could get here more! Beers are delicious!! I prefer darker, heavier, more robust beers and this place does not disappoint! So hard to decide very time I go. Also, offer good non-alcoholic choices. The Butter Beer is fantastic! I have always gone at night during the week and the atmosphere is pretty quiet and laid back. The building is the old Peerless Mill. Interior takes you back in time. Very cool! BYO vinyl records on Wednesdays along with a grill provided for patrons to grill their own food with friends and neighbors. Open mic nights add to the individuality and community feel of this place. Occasional special events, too. Lots to do here. Pool table, foosball, playing cards, dart boards, and a game closet make this a place to come and stay a while. Lots of space and multiple sitting areas to sit and relax. Definitely a place to come with a group. Service is good. Bartenders are welcoming, engaging, and knowledgable. Unfortunately, no kitchen here yet. Hope to see that change soon. Fortunately, its in close proximity to some great local restaurants from which to bring takeout orders or have food delivered. Food trucks sometimes set up in the parking lot though I have yet to partake myself. Overall I love this place!! 5 stars for sure if they start serving food thats anywhere...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Peerless Mill site was established in 1828. The existing mill building was the sawmill and the adjacent parking lot was the site of the gristmill. Both of the mills were powered with the waters from the Miami & Erie Canal.
The sawmill was converted into a restaurant in 1929. The Peerless Gristmill ceased operations in 1938 and the old structure was razed.
As of 1988, the Peerless Sawmill is now known as the Peerless Mill Inn. A visit to the restaurant allows you to appreciate the historic structure. The old mill building has a flagstone floor. The interior of the building exhibits the structure's huge hand-hewn beams. The restaurant also has 4 beautiful, large, stone fireplaces. The building is no longer used as a mill but the structure has been maintained and is open to the public to visit. It is a great place to incorporate on a trip for lunch or dinner. ("Peerless Mill Inn.")
As of July 2012, the Peerless Mill Gristmill / Inn is closed. The display waterwheel is gone and the multiple buildings are vacant.
Today, 2018, the old mill is occupied as an...

They have beers, wines, hard seltzers, and meads but they also have non-alcoholic options if someone in a group canāt/doesnāt drink. They have events regularly so itās worth it to see whatās going on here on any given night. The drinks are greatāthe kind of place that has unique brews that could turn your āIām not a beer personā into āIām now a beer personā. They also have some drinks that are staples in their menu and then other drinks that come and go. Overall a great place to spend some time and come back to again on the regular. They have game rooms, pool table, dartsāso plenty of ways to spend time while youāre trying different drinks. I am new to the area and really glad I found this place. The people, bartenders, and owner are all lovely people. 10/10, I feel like Star City Brewing is a staple...
