After waiting 90 minutes due to short staffing in the kitchen, our party with 5 small children was sat outside at a high top table, with backless barstools. When we asked to be moved to a standard table or to move two tables together (as there were at least 5 open standard tables nearby) we were told that was unable to be done. We were moved to two neighboring tables, which was fine, but there was plenty of room to place two standard tables together so we could’ve better enjoyed each others company as we were celebrating a birthday. It then began to drizzle and become windy and we inquired about moving to indoor seating. None of the staff seemed to know what the protocol was if it rained and you were seated outside. The manager came over, was very condescending and rude when addressing us, said she would look into it and never returned. The food was mediocre at best, definitely not worth the price. We expressed displeasure of the lobster on the Cobb salad and it was brushed off by the waitress. She said that their seafood is brought in daily, which is irrelevant if a customer is giving you a concern you typically try to fix that or offer to at least. She was otherwise very kind and did a good job with our party. In general, the atmosphere outside was nice, however if the staff were more accommodating or even acknowledged concerns it would’ve been better. Also if there is any chance of rain in the forecast, perhaps request an indoor table from the jump. As for the food, there are many other nearby restaurants we will go to in the future instead. Considering the price you pay for the food, it would be nice to have more inviting attitudes from the staff. Also reading the responses to some of the negative reviews on this forum is disheartening. There is a lack of accountability, which is the same thing we experienced from the staff in person. Re-education is needed to understand how to properly treat people, especially when they are supporting your establishment with...
Read moreBartlett's Fish Camp, a coveted spot I'd been eager to try for brunch, proved to be worth every moment of anticipation. With a reputation built on pleasant dinner experiences, the brunch was an absolute revelation, offering a harmony of taste, ambiance, and service that made our Sunday morning outing a resounding success.
The seafood-centric menu was a delight, particularly for my pescatarian companion. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, offering a cornucopia of flavors that made choosing our menu selections an exciting endeavor. Our gastronomic journey was made even better by a flow of refreshing mimosas, served by our attentive and wonderful waitress, adding a sparkling touch to our brunch experience.
We started our meal with a sublime Shrimp and Crab dip paired with a roasted baguette, a flavorful warm-up to the culinary delights that awaited us. For our main entrees, we opted for a Croque Madam sandwich and a Harvest Hash bowl. Both dishes were generous in portion and scored a slam dunk in taste and presentation.
No brunch outing would be complete without a sweet finish, and Bartlett's did not disappoint. A key lime pie from the local Bowler Man bakery was the perfect ending to our meal, its tangy sweetness leaving us completely satisfied.
In terms of timing, while the 11 am opening might seem late for a traditional brunch, it perfectly suited our relaxed Sunday, giving us the luxury to sleep in and start our day with a leisurely pace.
I can confidently say that Bartlett's Fish Camp has earned a spot in our brunch rotation. The exquisite food, friendly service, and comfortable atmosphere combined to create a brunch experience that was nothing short of perfect. We will most certainly be back to savor more of their delicious offerings, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a seafood brunch that truly sets...
