I live in Chicago and bought a second home in MC about 5 years ago. This is hands down my favorite restaurant in MC!! We’ve been coming for years and have NEVER had a bad experience. In 5 years, I’ve had only 1 refire asked, and the wonderful female GM who’s always there delivered the refire herself to ensure it was right. I have 2 little girls who have now grown to love it too. Even with toddlers they are always so polite and accommodating to us. They really do understand true hospitality, something I don’t often see in Chicago. The wait time has never once gone over (usually 1/2 the quote time). They are a sincere group of people. So refreshing to see these days. I’ve also taken my buddies after a day of work and we will sit in the bar area that is a little more lively and full of TVs. I’ve sat at the actual bar once and made a new friend (random stranger) that travels from New Buffalo because he, like me, simply loves it. They hit on all cylinders. Are there fancier possibly better steaks in the country? Sure… but this place is an AMAZING bang for your buck. Once, my wife and I went, and we love coconut shrimp but didn’t necessarily want an entree of it, the server recommended we do a 6 piece add on as an appetizer, awesome!! They truly have your best interest in mind. So rare to see these days. Thank you Galvestons, you got a regular for life! Management, keep up the great work, it’s clear to us customers you are involved. From the top all the way to the bussers. BTW my favorite is the Prime Rib!! If you go on Friday or Saturday it’s...
Read moreFirst time back since the beginning of Covid. Place has not changed but prices are up, and no nightly bargain specials like the former ACYE Lake Perch on Wednesdays for $16.99. All that aside, the warm bread is still excellent. The bloomin onion is good but has almost doubled in price. at $9.99.. I had the Sautéed Wallyeye. It was really bad. First it was either overcooked or old, since it wasn't flaky. It was very firm like swordfish. Additionally it was drowned in lemon sauce. I like to control the amount of lemon I put on my fish. Most restaurants don't lemon your sautéed fish. Instead they give you a lemon wedge so you can add lemon if you want it. Waitress nor the menu mentioned that it would be seasoned with lemon. Evidently they were trying to hide the fact it was old. . Bottom line it was horrible. Also it wasn't served with a side of tartar sauce. The double baked potato was inedible. Tasted like instant mashed potatoes and cheese whiz popped into a potato skin. However, our order of fried lake perch was very good, even though it was cheep thin white lake perch instead of the plump better tasting more expensive yellow lake perch. What was excellent was the spicy bean soup although I didn't care for the tortilla chips they put in it. Bottom line, not happy with the food. Evidently, don't order seafood at a restaurant that calls itself...
Read moreI promise this food was some of the most nastiest food that I have ever had in my life. It was not edible. We only went here because of the views i promise this place is Horrible don't listen to these reviews these people don't know what quality food taste like. I ordered 3 different meals and they each where just as bad as the other. This was a low budget steak house with eating utensils that looked like they came from the goodwill. Its a trashy restaurant. The only good part of the entire meal was the waiter Joe he was lovely he took everything back with no problem. The place is decent looking it looks a bit older needs updating. Whoever said or think this food is good must not be use to eating quality food because this place was well below your standard drive in restaurant. Where I'm from it would have never stayed in business because we are use to eating real food not someone throwing stuff together. The chef could not have been certified because the meals where worse than the food prepared in someone home kitchen. I should have known it wasn't a real steak house because a place like that would never have buffets. I have never been to a steak house that offer buffets also the parking lot was dang...
