What a bad experience visiting Bob Evans in Middleburg Heights Ohio . I will explain, I walk to Bob Evans and it was 11:00 am the place was pack but not to the extreme, so I decide to sit in the counter, nobody welcome me like good morning can I gave you something to drink and btw are you ready for order nothing that happen , so after 2 minutes they was a guy with a white shirt and I look at his eyes and ask him can I have a coffee and btw can I have a rise & shine breakfast 2 eggs over easy , links , hash brown and wheat dry bread and after that it pass 25 minutes and nothing btw I ask another waitress for silverware and she ignored me never came back with the silverware, so I ask another waitress for the silverware and she gave it to me , so after 25 minutes pass and you see the restaurant start to get not busy I talk to my self is this is a joke , the guy with the white shirt never came back to say Sr I apologize it’s take some time give me 5 minutes and let me see what happen with your order , nobody came back if I want a refill of coffee, like I was invisible, making me fill like I was nobody , so I walk to the register and there was a lady’s in her 30’s and I told her can you charge me for a cup of coffee because I have to go to drop my neighbor to the airport and I have 25 minutes waiting for my breakfast and non of waitress special the guy with the white shirt came back with my breakfast or explain me why all the waiting, So the lady in black she say i’m So sorry I apologize do you got the big breakfast, And i talk to my self and say no I’m displeased because someone or something has failed to fulfill one's hopes or expectations. I think the lady dress in black is the manager, any way she say i’m sorry , so if I was very disappointed with the service why she didn’t say let me call the manager I don’t want you leave my store without explaining what was you bad experience, so in resume the store manager didn’t care about it and she responsable because she didn’t do nothing and she didn’t care about , So , I went to a family restaurant non franchise and I walk in and 8 minutes a have my order for 6.49 and better service Bob Evans will charge me 11.09 for the same breakfast and a bad customer services Manager is none in that store and customer services are none never again stay away from the franchise and deal with a family owner restaurant will be cheap than Bob Evans Thanks for the manager from Bob Evans , and for the manager like Donald Trump say you’re fired Do you think Bob Evans going to make someone responsable of this...
Read moreMy food was fine. My dining companion ordered an omelet but asked them to hold the meat. It came with meat. This was noticed by my companion. The waitress took the dish back and brought it back again a minute or two later. Someone had just dug the meat out and given my companion the same omelet back, meat grease included but meat gone. Not only is this gross, but even small traces of meat can cause GI problems for vegetarians.
In addition, the waitress messed up the kids meal for my companion's kid: Not only was the included drink --milk, juice, etc.--not offerred or provided, but the waitress did not bring the cookie included with the meal until the kid asked for it. Then, she tried to charge extra for the included cookie. My companion noticed this on the bill and questioned the extra charge. The waitress tried to say that the cookie was no longer included. We pointed to the menu. She said the kid's menu handout given to us as we entered was old & outdated. Cookies were no longer included--there was an extra charge for a cookie! We insisted on following the menu, and the waitress removed the extra charge.
Since it seemed extremely unlikely that the kid's menu handout handed to us at the restaurant was wrong, I double-checked at the Bob Evans website. The kid's menu includes the both a drink (milk, fruit juice) and a desert (cookie, etc.).
Seems like the waitress was...
Read moreWhen I lived in Cleveland area as a kid I loved Bob Evans. I loved their biscuits and gravy. Nowadays the biscuits and gravy are still good. However the omelette looked like powdered eggs. The orange juice tasted like it came out of a can with very little flavor. On Tuesday the 20th we had the misfortune of going at 1130am. We were quoted a 40 -45 minute wait. It turned out to be a 90 minute wait. We would have left but my mother has real trouble walking and it would have been a pain to leave. Several couples and families walked in/out within that time we waited. Several elderly people waiting with us were disgusted. This is not some quaint breakfast nook. We found out they had a large party of 25 monopolizing the tables with a staff of three waitresses and one cook. I would like to know why this large group was not turned away and politely explained that they can not be accommodated. It's not as if you didn't have customers. You would have made more if you turned away the group as people walked out and the ones that stayed were disgruntled. Our server was very apologetic and nice. But a manager should have stopped at our table to personally apologize. Perhaps give a coupon for an upcoming meal, maybe complimentary coffee or juice, something. We got...
