I'd love to review the food but I cannot. Don't let the bright "open 24h" sign fool you, don't let the hours on line or even the hours on the door fool you, this restaurant had its doors locked at 11:15 on a Saturday night despite folks being inside dining. We gave a knock since we were confused and were ignored but still curious because all signs (besides the locked door) pointed to open and stood stupidly for a minute when an employee happened to be leaving and begrudgingly grabbed whom we assumed was the manager. She was not happy to waste her time with us and not only actively avoided eye contact in a "don't have time for this" fashion but answered "are you open?"with, "we're taking to go orders. Do you want to place a to go order?" "No, we were hoping to dine in, the sign says open 24 hours and we just drove 20 miles, online and your door say you're open for another 45 minutes." "We're working on to go orders," "ok, so are you usually not open now? Like do you have different dining room hours because that would have been nice to know." At this point it was clear she would have rather been anywhere other than half leaning out the door explaining why the signage and the door disagreed. "fine, do you want to just come in and place an order??" "Not now! We're clearly unwelcome! We just want to know when to come back in the future." We didn't get a clear answer. The IHOP in Lodi has the same online hour issues. My recommendation is to just go...
Read moreVery slow service. Not friendly. We had some questions about the menu and the server's response was agitated. Needless to say the order was messed up when it came about a half hour later. They were not busy, there were 2 maybe 3 other tables there. Bacon and potatoes were cold, ordered the breakfast tacos but got the chick fajita taco, we had asked about what was on both of those dishes and apparently the server didn't understand what was the order. Ordered the strawberry banana pancakes minus the strawberry and that was right, ordered the Reese pieces pancake combo and asked for no chocolate syrup on them and they came out with no toppings but a side cup of peanut butter.... The iced tea was sour/old, told the server that it didn't taste right and asked for a hot tea instead, ...she forgot 3 times, before she brought it. Asked for a take out box for leftovers and the box that she brought out was dirty. When we tried to ask for the errors to be corrected she 'did't hear us'... We were very disappointed and we won't be back. We have been to other IHOP restaurants and never received food and service like this before. I would not recommend this IHOP. I hope this is not their norm. Good luck to them I hope they get better as we will not go back there, nor would we recommend...
Read moreservice: my best friend and I stopped in for breakfast earlier today expecting a little bit of a wait because it’s sunday and we understand people would be coming from church. we walked in and were ignored by the hostess and i ended up having to ask to put our name on the list. we waited for over an hour because the kitchen had to “catch up”. while i work in the restaurant industry and have for a while i completely understand being busy and being in a rush but the whole restaurant cleared out and people were still not allowed to be seated. where my confusion comes from is if everyone was leaving how was the kitchen behind? there were many who came in and the host said “it’s gonna be a really long wait”. I am a host myself and that is not the way to talk to costumers.
food: i got the jalapeño bites and they were awful. overcooked and tasted disgusting. my food came out cold and my friend asked for an over easy egg and it had came out almost not cooked at all. our server was nice about it and had got her a new egg.
overall: would not go back and would not recommend for anyone else. i am not the kind of person to make reviews, especially reviews that can hurt a business, but the service we were barely provided today...
