7 Brew Coffee — Restaurant in Middleburg Heights

4:30pm Oct 5, 2024 - Coffee is good, but the customer service this time around was straight garbage. We waited in a long line which sucked, but this wasn't a huge issue. The problem we experienced was at pickup. We ordered two chillers and even discuss the topic of receiving one of them as a chiller and not an iced drink, with the cahier. The person that helped us with the order made an honest accident, ordering one of the chillers as an iced drink. At the outside pickup lane we brought this to the female worker's attention when our drinks were handed to us. She just staired at us. We asked if we could get exactly what we ordered, she continued to stair at us. One iced drink was supposed to be a chiller. She stated, "Well, that's what was on the receipt!" We repeated ourselves a third time and she finally walked away with the drink in question mumbling that she would see if she could get the contents of the iced drink blended quickly. The response wasn't rude, but it was definetly in the context that she was making some sort of concession or being inconvenienced. She returned with the drink, handing to me the driver. She quickly turning her back and coldly said, "Have a nice day!"

The comment, "Well, it was on the receipt." could apply only if I has just ordered Sheetz." This definetly isn't that. Sighting the fact that I'm paying nearly $20, I expect to get exactly what I requested and so should anyone making a purchase. Not to mention, as a customer, I was subjected to a tip button on the screen when I cashed out. I paid an extra dollar for what? Usually the tip comes after the service. This senario sure proves that it...

I just tried this place for the 2nd time (the first time was when they opened and things can be forgiven). I’m done forgiving. I’m not part of the 7-B cult (as it seems) so I asked for a menu. The young lady helping me gave me her iPad. The menu had the 7 basic lattes, but did not list the syrups. I asked for a list and she said they had “like, a hundred back there.” What am I supposed to say to that? How do you not have a list of at least the 30 most popular or whatever? I see Salted Caramel behind the glass and ask what the sizes are. “Kids, small, medium, and large,” she replies. This tells me absolutely nothing, so I ask how many ounces is a small. “10.” That seems oddly low. So I ask about the medium. “12.” Again, this seems small, but it’s what I want so I seize on it. “I’ll take a medium half-sweet, half-caf salted caramel latte.” She says (I believe), “medium salted caramel iced latte half sweet half caf.” I say, “not iced.” She says, “Oh ok.” A minute later she hands me a 20-oz clear plastic cup holding a cool, but not cold, iced latte. “What is this?” “It’s your order.” Breathing a heavy sigh, “First of all, this is 12 ounces?” “Yeah, but there’s no ice in it, like you said.” Brushing past the Escher-level of mental gymnastics happening here, I say, “Wait-what? I didn’t want an iced latte.” “Ohhhh, you wanted it hot??” Apparently in the Cult of 7-B, one must specify that your drink is “hot,” because room temperature coffee is a thing. “Do you want us to make you another one??” “No. I want to leave. Here’s your drink...

"Wake up Duncan there's a new sheriff in town! ... and the name is 7 brew coffee!". I had the immense pleasure of meeting a smiling cheerful girl at seven brew coffee this morning. She helped me through my order since I was formally a dunkin' donuts gal...( Right across the street). A few times a week I get to treat myself with a medium iced latte and a donut or something sweet. Since the new owners took over at Duncan they have raised their prices considerably every drink has gone up $2 so I thought I'd give the other place a shot. And so glad that I did!!. Not only was the same drink ( medium iced latte) cheaper..it was the size of dunkins large. Under $5 for this huge medium!!! And although I was tempted to drive right across the street to grab a donut and drink this delicious concoction with the label facing them as they serve me.. I figured why not try a chocolate chip muffin top!!! And I was not disappointed. This thing is huge! No I will always ponder the unknown quandary of" what do they do with the stumps from the muffins" (Seinfeld) I can be rest assured that I can find my sweet treat a few times a week in Middleburg heights at this new location where everyone is happy and smiling...
