Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Middleburg Heights

Honestly the food is really good. They had their food super stocked up to which was nice. But the biggest turn off in that place is the people that work there. Honestly, where is a manager? The kind girl who was doing the vegetable toppings gave good portions. It seemed to me like it was maybe her first couple of days? As if she’s still training. But her employees are disgusting. They saw that she was backed up with bowls, people are waiting so instead of giving her a hand, they stood there and ran their mouth about her. Then they had the audacity to run their mouth to the CUSTOMERS! I was appalled. The one guest in front of me had only one leg, do you know what this employee asked him “what happened to your leg man??” The disrespect. I could instantly tell the customer was uncomfortable. Let’s go back to the employees running their mouth about another employee because she’s moving a bit slow. I go to get napkins and a fork and guess what? Trash all over the floor, forks not stocked, napkins not stocked. It looked like a drink spilled and left sticky spots everywhere. But they have the AUDACITY to talk about that poor girl while they can’t even do their job and make sure the restaurant is stocked properly and cleaned. I’m just so disappointed, that was my first time there to.

I don’t know who’s managing that place but whoever is needs to get their staff in check or hire a new manager. I was a manager for 6 years and NEVER had my employees talk the way these employees were. Gives a bad name...

This location has been our go to since they opened. They started out great, EVERYONE was friendly, portion sizes were spot on, they were never out of anything, etc. There is one particular girl (I’ll update with her name once I get it because she deserves to be recognized) that is the best! Always smiling, and always polite and friendly! We went last night and not only did it start off bad with the first guy throwing bowls down in pure frustration but the girl who was doing the toppings lost it and in front of us said, “don’t these people ever stop coming in?” Her coworkers were even taken aback and told her to go grab a drink and they would handle the line themselves. This isn’t the first time she’s been horrible though. The last three of four times have been an awful experience with her and I’m pretty sure she is some type of manager. Tall girl, with glasses and a “freckled” complexion. Only including that because if she happens to see this she may see that her customer service skills needs worked on or she should consider finding a different type of job. I would rather address an issue with a place before publicly posting but you can’t call the store, you have to go through corporate who isn’t very responsive, it’s just...

Ah, chipotle… the quick spot to grab a burrito that didn’t come from the bell. This chipotle branch is the same as every other branch, the food is the same, the poor fella behind the counter will struggle to get the burrito wrapped up just right that it doesn’t fall completely apart when you unwrap it, the place is a mess presumably because they have been so busy they just simply have not had time to wipe down the counter, or the tables, or the drink station… I think we all know what to expect when we walk into these places. As for the food I got, it was on point with what is expected from chipotle, it was convenient and was decent enough to scarf down and fill me up. I don’t visit very often, since the days when chipotle was a new concept there has been plenty of other options that have been created but those every once in a while I’ll get those inklings where I think “eh let’s grab a burrito” I always end up with the same thought, it’s average, just good enough, and I’ll take it to go so I can eat in a clean kitchen at a clean table. Two stars might be a little low, but it’s not quite a three star...
