Potbelly — Restaurant in Middleburg Heights

So, first time getting into this place after seeing it all over on TV and on buses. First impression on walking in- I get a foul utter stench from the bathroom side of the building, it was very powerful to me personally and it was a bad sign of a omen. Next when I started out my order, which was a pizza melt, voodoo chips and a oatmeal cookie. when I was getting seated, I saw how uncleaned under the tables are and seemed as a good place to sit down but besides the smell and the filth on the floor underneath the table I find the food to be pretty mediocre. The melt had no cheese on it and when I asked no mushrooms they put mushrooms! And when I even asked for the two voodoo chips the one was popped and didn't seem deflated and tasted stale!! If only they cleaned up more and kept up better with the food and have a better service for future customers id recommend my friends to this place if they want a decent sandwich...

I like this shop, they're still new in the area and are working out the kinks but the food is good.

I removed a star due to their perks, as it stands their perk system is really broken and reaching out even to their corporate to correct it yields so-so results.

I also removed a star due to the fact that their tomato sauce / caramelized onions needs some love (they currently add a weird taste).

Go for regular subs Skip tomato based items and you should be alright...

The staff was nice and service was good, but there was a long hair in my mac and cheese and then another long hair in my sandwich. I also had to fight for my life on the toilet later after eating the couple bites I had. If not for those unfortunate events I still wouldnt go back. This was the first time I tried Potbelly and it was bland. The mac and cheese needed salt and the sandwich was very blah, no flavor. Worse...
