On 9/20 my girlfriend and I noticed people behind us were being seated first. We received a text saying we had been removed from the list despite not hearing our party’s name. I asked an employee (the person of concern in this incident) what happened. She said I’m not the hostess, the hostess is over there, and pointed across the room. She did not offer to help and was not happy. She overhead me explaining the situation to the hostess. She interrupted and started saying “there’s a table ready, come on let’s go, in a pushy way!” As a result I confronted the negative vibes and said she should be nice to people and she should treat her customers well - I was ignored. We sat at the bar instead. I asked for the manager. She can by and comped our meal after I explained what happened. She was nice. THEN… the same girl who treated us poorly served us our food! She didn’t say a word, with a cold stare! My first thought was don’t eat it - which I did not! I asked the manager why SHE brought the food. She said it was just random, no need to worry. Coincidence? Regardless I tipped the bartender $20 because she was very nice and helpful. The coffee was good as well. The bartender offered to remake my food and went to the back and I noticed the team in a huddle regarding what I suspected to be the aforementioned events. When the bar tender returned she said she would deliver the food herself. I told her no worries, but thanks very much. Another employee walked up to me and said, “not to jump in or anything - but you did the right thing - I wouldn’t have eaten it either - I’ve seen what goes on in...

Giving the food 2 stars because the Hawaiian French toast was great, but the other food we ordered was wrong. Atmosphere was pleasant, restaurant was clean. Server was terrible, took our drinks, brought them to us and got our order and never came back to the table. Someone else brought us our food. Waited 10 mins before waiter even came to check if our food was okay which it was not. I ordered the BLTE with havarti and horseradish added. Manager claims he confirmed with the cook that both cheeses were put on there and never actually came and looked at the sandwich himself. Waiter brought me a side of horseradish 10 more mins later as if I was going to lather it on my now freezing cold sandwich. So after 20 mins total they bring me a new sandwich, I pack it up since my 5 month old was ready to go home. Just get home to heat and eat my food and the remake has NO bacon on it. I called the restaurant to speak with the manager and he said that the server rang up my remake with no bacon??? Not sure why she would do that. The resolution the manager came to was “next time you come in just ask for rob I’ll get you a new sandwich on me.. this was my first time at the Middleburg location and LAST. Westlake (Crocker park) location is always amazing, fresh food, and great service. Think they need to retrain and or hire more staff, so the servers don’t have so much on their plates. As a bartender/ server myself I am very understanding especially when I see a busy waitress, but the whole experience was unacceptable and she didn’t seem to...

We watched the former Panera slowly disappear as they were converting the corner building into First watch over time. It was fun watching the conversion process. I have wanted to visit since they first open but generally my morning schedules never really allowed for it or the wait time was much too long. This weekend, the stars finally aligned and I was able to make my first visit.

We had just finished up a 5k event at the Berea fairgrounds and was looking for a place to grab some breakfast. When we arrived, there was no wait and we were seated quickly. Our waitress brought over a carafe of water and some glasses and took out drink orders.

I ended up getting the tres leches strawberry French toast with a side of million dollar bacon. Others for the eggs Benedict, a Belgian waffle, an order of sausage gravy and biscuits.

Absolutely loved the French toast, may have been my favorite restaurant French toast I have had in awhile and having just completed a 5k did not feel as much guilt indulging in a more calorie heavy meal. The million dollar bacon was shared with the table and everyone really enjoyed their piece. Seemed like it was peppered with some maple syrup drizzle.

The menu was quite vast and there were several other options I look forward to trying in the future. By the time we were ready to leave, there was a significant wait and line, so be prepared that there will most likely be a wait when you arrive (this was around 9:30am...

I hate to give 5 stars to a chain breakfast place, but I've got nothing negative to say about this place. It was clean, bright, and modern. The drinks were good. The service was exactly what we needed. The food was amazing. We were honestly impressed. The Million Dollar Bloody Mary was nice and spicy and it's bacon was perfect. The Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk was good to even though it didn't taste like cinnamon toast cereal milk, more like one of those Starbucks bottle iced coffees you get at a gas station. The Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos were great. It sounds silly, but the pico they came with took the cake and the beans were super good with the pico and by themselves too. Again, I know that sounds silly. The Elevated Egg Sandwich was also perfect. The yolk was cooked but still just a tiny bit runny which was great. The kitchen even swapped the arugula for just spring mix instead.

oday I took my tastebuds to the brand new First Watch located in Middleburg Heights, OH. First Watch is a breakfast & Brunch restaurant that has a wide menu of delicious meals. I decided to eat healthier today and ordered the Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl. This tasty dish is served with Protein Packed Quinoa, Italian Sausage, house Roasted Crimini mushrooms and tomatoes, kale, Parmesan, lemon white balsamic dressing and EVOO. Topped with two cage free eggs. It was plentiful and very well put together. This was my first time eating this meal and I was extremely satisfied. If you are looking for a nice brunch/breakast restaurant in Cleveland (near Cleveland) the newly opened First Watch In Middleburg Heights is The place to eat. The Service was great! I will definitely be visiting again to try more foods on the menu. Thank You guys for Having me!
