This is the only Zoup location near enough that I can grab lunch from during my workday. And unfortunately, I wish it would just close, because it always seems like a great idea (we love Zoup!) but it's always a let down.

Today was the last shot for this location and I mean that in the least Karen-esque way possible. The broccoli cheddar soup today was so thick and oily that it is clear it was overcooked; either by sitting too long, being a carry over product from the night before, or just sitting too hot. My child wouldn't eat more than a few bites. The italian wedding soup was so salty that I couldn't get past the first few bites either. The only thing that was really delicious was the Chili.

The staff are lovely, truly. They're pleasant, polite, and they do the best they can with what they're provided. But it is very clear that this location doesn't invest enough in it's business to provide good product. Which makes it even more difficult on itself as it's not on the main drag and definitely on the section of road where good restaurants go to die. I'll wait for the next time I'm near the Independence -...

Terrible and I mean terrible customer service. I ordered half chicken toscana with 12oz tomato bisque and tea. Get back to my hotel room all I have is tomato bisque and tea. Now I have to uber back over there and let them know I didnt receive it. They tell me I was never charged for it so I have to pay separately but I asked why? I ordered it together. She goes talks with manager comes back and I ended up paying a total of $17 for HALF chicken toscana 12oz soup and tea. I come here at least 3 times a week and NEVER paid that for that and even had cookies included in the recent past and it still wasn't that much plus the ubering back and forth. Never 1 apology just rolling eyes at me like I was in the wrong I couldn't believe it. Due to the rudeness at this location and charging me more for their fault and no apology or nothing I will not return. I'm very disappointed about that situation because I like the food I come 3 times a week. Lost a loyal customer here. Do not recommend this location. Also forgot a spoon for me to even...

Visited Middleburg Heights location on Engle Road today. The people "working" there were too busy gossiping than to fill the ice machine and make sure there were beverages. We brought in a friend who has been very stressed as her 2 young grandsons were in a car accident recently and may have to take custody of them. She was so stressed earlier as we were thrift shopping for emergency clothes and things for them that she threw up. She had eaten very little so I knew she needed some kind of comfort food and to de-stress as she is trying to help them through PTSD from the incident. I am disgusted that she had to hear the loud gossiping amongst the workers when this was supposed to be some time we were giving her to finally eat a meal in peace so she can be taken care of to be a caretaker. The food was fine but the atmosphere...

The only reason I gave Zoup 2 stars was because the staff were very nice and polite and the place was clean. The food received zero stars from me. I ordered a half Chicken Toscana with a side of Lobster Bisque soup after learning that was their most popular items. Either my taste buds are not any good or people don't know what good food tastes like. The sandwich contained pieces of so called chicken (boiled, rubber, canned almost) provolone cheese (unmelted), red peppers (2 strips that tasted like olives), marinated onions (the best thing on it), basil mayo (could have fooled me because I didn't see any nor taste) served toasted (not sure I would call it that) on stone-baked ciabatta (that didn't taste too bad actually) The soup seemed to be from a can (but didn't taste too bad). All of that for $11.88 😭

Food is always fresh and the choice are very good for Vegan or Vegetarian customers- they usually have at least two or more soups that are Vegan and the have quite a few Gluten Free and Dairy Free if you have the need. The romaine lettuce is super fresh as a saw a manager bringing in bags of Romain from Heinens. The people go out of their way to greet you and they are very helpful to look up any info that is needed for calorie count etc. I can't wait to come back and use the outdoor patio as well.

Got a turkey & bacon club, no bacon. Seems like a critical miss. For the prices they are charging now, I'd expect everything to be on point. I'd usually expect a club to have more than just tomato and bacon on it too like maybe some lettuce? This thing was just turkey, a single tomato slice, no detectable Swiss and an ample amount of mayo. $15+ for a soup and sandwich combo. I'll probably give them another chance in a month but probably not at these prices.
