Bad online ordering system and website customer service it is impossible to pay with a gift card unless you eat in the store. Had a gift card and tried to order online for pick up however the website was not accepting my gift card for some reason, I then tried entering my credit card (thinking I could have it refunded and put on the gift card when I arrived at the Resturant )and it wouldn’t accept that either so I called after being on the phone a computer tried to take my order and I wanted to talk to a person. So I ended up googling the Resturant, making my order there and using google pay. I then arrived at the Resturant and “to go” people didn’t even have my order even though I showed them a confirmation number and receipt they checked with the kitchen who had my order but for some reason they didn’t have it at the front. I explained my gift card situation that I wanted my credit card refunded and to pay with the gift card to which I was passed off to three different people who couldn’t help me then finally the manager who told me because I ordered thru a 3rd party application and not their website she couldn’t do anything. I explained to her that the website didn’t take the gift card ( the website also asked for a PIN number on the gift card to which I showed the staff and they had never heard of a gift card having a PIN number so we all looked at it together and couldn’t figure it out) and nor did it take my credit card I wasn’t able to add it. She instructed me next time to call the Resturant to place the order to which I confirmed that I did call but could only talk to a computer and I wanted to talk to a person - she told me I needed to press 4 to talk to a person kinda making it seem like the situation was my fault. It shouldn’t be this difficult to pay online with a gift card. The manager then said she would see if there is anything she could do to get this refunded and put on my gift card instead and would be right back. After a few minutes my food was brought out but the manager didn’t come back so I walked over to the server area and found her to which she just said sorry there is nothing I can do and sent me on my way. She was apologetic but this was way too difficult if a process to try to pay for a pick up order with a credit card and customer service wise was not a good experience I was made to feel like it was my fault when it was clearly an issue with the website. I wasn’t able to put the order in my gift card and now I am out 45 bucks from my pocket and I am stuck with this 50 dollar gift card still. I’ll explain that in a moment… So anyway, almost $88.00 all said and done for a burger, a wrap, a kid’s meal that was supposed to be $5.99 and come with a soda, two sodas, and one mozz stick. Only came here because my Daughter insisted. Was wondering why it was so high and then realized later that I was charged for an adult meal when I ordered a kid’s meal for my Daughter. Then on top of it he charged me for a soda when the kid’s meal was supposed to come with one. Also, he up charged me for mac n cheese instead of French fries. I asked if could do mac n cheese instead of FF with the kid’s meal and he told me I could. Never bothered saying it was extra… Also, was charged a $3.00 entertainment fee for a stupid little game on the device at the table. My Husband said they never tell you that there’s a charge to play the game, so he didn’t know. While we were having our appetizer waiting for our food we saw a mouse or possibly a baby rat just crawling under the table right next to us!!! I almost jumped right out of the booth. I just read another 2 reviews from a month ago that said the same thing, so they’ve obviously done nothing about it and just don’t care because that is NOT NORMAL!!! Never in my life have I seen a rodent just crawling around the floor while eating at a restaurant!!! If they’re brazen enough to just come out like that in front of people, then they clearly have a major rodent problem that they’ve done nothing about!!! Waiter didn’t seem to even care when I told him. All he could say was, “I didn’t see it.” Not only did he not care or at least offer to comp part of our bill, but he also over charged me!!! I shouldn’t have even left him a tip at all and this is coming from a person who always leaves 20% or more. We will never ever go back there again!!! I've gone to Red Robins for years...usually me, Wife, and 2 kids. Due to relocation we now use the Langhorne location. To be fair, I will say that the place is always clean, and the food has been yummy consistently. But, each time I go there - I notice how the staff is so much nicer and more upbeat at other Red Robin locations. I'd say the staff here is "ok" whereas at other RR's, the staff is great.
Just this week, it was NOT jammed and the hostess staff looks unhappy. All I did was nicely say "Can we please get a long booth" -- they sigh as if it was heavy labor. Then they take me to the booth and I politely say "can we have this booth instead cause the sunlight will be uncomfortable on our baby there" -- the lady just shrugs. Most people could nicely say "sure, no problem". The week before, our waitress whose name started with J was very frosty. We ordered the food - and she didn't prompt me for the side dishes like they ALWAYS do so when I then ordered my side dishes - she acted like it was a big deal. I asked for Extra Mayo, so she actually goes thru my order and asked "which dish do you need mayo for"? Sorry J, didn't know I need your approval.
MANAGEMENT'S FAULT. Most staff is upbeat and nice at RR's - but not this one. It's very noticeable. And I'm not the typical online maggot who complains, because I gave this a 4 stars and had many positive comments too.
