Alley Cat Cafe & Catering — Restaurant in Middletown

The wife and I found this place on a whim. Got greeted and seated quickly. Note, this place is tiny (like 7 tables tiny). Prompt service on the coffee and placing our order. Wife ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. I got sunny side up, hashbrown casserole, bacon and toast. Standard breakfast is eggs, meat, HBC, and biscuit and gravy (we don't do biscuits and gravy). Everything was hot and delicious. A couple notes.. There was one woman working on Saturday morning, which is the norm. She was hostess, waitress, cook, busser, and cashier. Food was served on Styrofoam plate and plastic silverware. We didn't understand that until we found out she was by herself.

Really tasty for a nice lunch with my mom! I had the half soup half sandwich. The benedictine panini was AMAZING! Really crunchy bacon and fresh cucumbers really added a lot to what can be a bland sandwich. And I got the cheese tortellini soup which was really broth-y with a bunch of tomatoes and Italian sausage in it. SO yummy :) Will definitely be coming back here. Ended up here when I took my car to have the windows tinted nearby, and was told there was no waiting area. It's 26° F outside with snow and ice still on the ground, but okay! 🥶 I began (carefully) walking. Up the hill and around the corner, I see the word "cafe" on a building, and head in.
