Beans & Dreams - Nektario's Place — Restaurant in Middletown

Sadly I couldn’t take more pictures after I realized we ate everything else first, but to be honest their story and history as a business in Middleton, MD says so much more than I ever could share on here.

Order: Macchiato, Tall, Cold with caramel drizzle and cream Macchiato, Short, Hot Spanakopita (feta cheese with spinach) Breakfast bagel sandwich (egg, sausage, cheese) GF Lemon Curd Cheese Cake

Everything was, in general, delicious. I wish I can be more elaborate but I was dumbfounded by the decorations, the incredibly comfortable indoor furniture with beautiful wooden tables, the soft music, and loving atmosphere.

So many gluten free options between pastries and breakfast items, incredible assortment of coffees and you can even purchase whole bean bags of coffee so you can make it at home.

Beans & Dreams - Nektario’s Place is a delightful and delicious community cafe serving great coffee and tasty snacks and breakfast sandwiches in Middletown, Maryland!

This specific location is named after its CEO, Nektario, and is fashioned after him with phrases and quotes from him over many of the walls. On top of having very well made food and great coffee, each Beans & Dreams location focused on giving work opportunities to young adults with disabilities.

Everyone there that I interacted with was so kind and open, and it was amazing to see such a beautiful location going fully in on giving such amazing opportunities to its workers.

I ordered an iced mocha, a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant, and a bag of cookies. Everything was very tasty and made with care.

What a fantastic place! I got a dirty chai and YUM it was delicious! The ambiance of the space is so beautiful and, though a little crowded, it’s still peaceful enough to do work or talk with friends. I know it’s a BRAND new place, so there is so much potential, but I wanted to note a few suggestions! 1). Having more savory options like croissants, quiches, pastries, etc. 2). Having the door to the right be an “enter” door and the door the left be a locked “exit door” could help with the flow of service and how you have it setup. 3). I am not sure if I may have missed the spots because there were cars there but, considering the cause, I would make more of the spots up front handicap parking! Thanks for such a great time.
