Desi Swad Cuisine | Best Indian Restaurant | Best Indian Food — Restaurant in Middletown

I ordered for pickup from the website because the prices were $4 more expensive on GrubHub. The only issue I had while ordering was, if I ordered the multiple of same item, but different spice levels for each (between my kids, my SO, and myself, we all like various levels of spice), the program just grouped the items as one item, so I was only able to order multiple of one item with the same spice level.

That being said, we ordered a chicken tikka masala (mild), two special chicken tikka masala (spicy), a lamb curry, three garlic naan, and a spicy naan. The special chicken tikka masala had onions and peppers in it and it was the most flavorful version of this dish I have ever had. It even seemed as though the spice was added as a spicy pepper vs just extra cayenne pepper and that added so much to the flavor as well. The lamb curry was very good and tender as well and my kids loved the mild chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Both naans were very flavorful as well and were moist and crispy on the edges and you get a lot per order.

I live right down the street from here and drive by here everyday wanting to try it. I was married to an Indian man who worked as a cook in London at an Indian restaurant and because he spoiled me with his cooking I've yet to find anything close to as good as his. Until Desi Swad! First off it was ready in no time. It was hot and fresh. The smell was AMAZING 😍. I ordered Aloo gobi which was served with white rice, garlic naan and kachumber salad. You can order the spice level of your choice. I got original but next time will order medium to kick up the spice. The Aloo gobi was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and there was plenty of sauce, which I love. I've been to a few places where it was dry and didn't go far at all. There were plenty of potatoes which I have seen other places literally give only a few potatoes. The garlic naan was delicious. I actually am happy because I got a thinner piece that was crispier which is the best. The rice even had a good flavor for white rice! I didn't even get to eat my kachumber salad I was so full. The prices were affordable and they definitely don't skimp on servings. Seriously happy with my entire meal and look forward to...

My family and I love Indian food. I have spent many years learning how to make various dishes. I have studied every spice. I have learned from my dear friend and her sister, both born in South India. I have been making Indian dishes at home for years out of desire and necessity, until now. Let me tell you, Desi Swad is some of the most delicious food I've ever eaten. It's some of the most delicious Indian food I've ever had in my life. I'm not exaggerating. I can't tell you how thrilled I am that Desi Swad is here, IN MIDDLETOWN! No more driving to Mason, or racing home from work to try to prepare the dishes I crave. We picked up carry out, but we're looking forward to meeting up with friends and dining in. I'm not going to get into all the details of what we ate, etc. You just have to GO yourself and try it. I will tell you that my favorite Indian comfort food is dal makhani (black, butter lentils) is on the menu and it's the best I have ever had...EVER. It's like a warm, flavorful hug inside your belly.
