Updated Review April 1, 2025: Traveling back and forth to Florida a few times a year we mostly stay at Fairfield Inns. It was only our second time at this Fairfield Inn. It’s one of the best ones we have stayed at. While all Fairfield Inns are about the same, they differ in a few ways. This one has an indoor pool that I have not seen at other Fairfield Inns.
This was our first time driving an EV to Florida so charging at hotels is something we now propriotize. There are four pay EV chargers here. They are located in the front of the hotel but on the far side of the parking lot. We have found if chargers are put in the best place to park none EV cars will take the spots and EVs can’t charge. We have stayed at Fairfield Inns that have free parking but had EVs park there even after full. Four paid chargers are ideal for now. Each year there will be more EVs on the road so hotels need to plan to expand the number of their chargers and have rules for using them. I know they don’t want to deal with non-EVs parking in EV spots but this is something they will need to figure out a way to deal with this. We pick our hotels for EV charging and expect to be able to charge. Level 2 paid chargers should pay for themselves or even make the hotel money.
Original Review: Dec. 20, 2024 I’ve stayed at many Fairfield Inns and this was at the top of the list. Every Fairfield looks the same from the outside. Even the lobby is mostly updated. A large part of what makes a 3 Star vs a 5 Star Fairfield is how old the rooms are, the quality of the breakfast and the staff. This Fairfield opened in the fall of 2022. Raquel and the other staff were friendly and helpful. The fresh brownies that were there all day were a nice addition.
Our room was as nice as expected. I liked that they had a few hooks around the room for hanging up clothes or bags. There were USB A outlets by both beds and the desk. These need to be updated to type C. The desk had two duplex type A. At a minimum one should be type C. A small issue as they had AC outlets where we could plug in our AC chargers.
This is the first Fairfield Inn that I’ve seen EV charging at. There was a 4 plug Blink Charging Station in the parking lot. As new EV owners we will be looking for Fairfield Inns with EV charging. We drive to Florida two or three times each year. Two other Fairfields we would normally stay at before our EV are now off our list of places to stay. I hope this...
Read moreWe encountered numerous issues during our stay and throughout all my years of being a lifetime gold Marriot member this was probably the worst hotel and experience I've ever encountered at a Marriot branded chain. Honestly I am sad to say this but this is as close to a zero star property as I've witnessed.||||It started at check in when the lady wasn't super friendly - almost annoyed we were checking in even after driving 6 + hours. We then had to wait about 45 minutes for our room to be given an ADA Suite which I did not request. I then asked if there was a normal room for us and she quickly said no. Upon checking in, in our 3rd floor room the windows fully opened which I was worried about with 2 young kids. They offered no guidance on helping lock and thankfully my wife and I figured out a way to block passage. Our bathroom was also very dirty and my wife personally cleaned it with their cleaning supplies. Throughout our stay almost no staff member said hi (when coming and going) and on one occasion housekeeping pushed my kids out of the way while on their cell phones barefoot...||||From there my wife and I didn't sleep at all throughout our stay as the person on floor 4 above us was awake all night pacing and it sounded like they were in our room wearing tap shoes. Are the walls made of particle board? During Friday/Saturday night we were constantly woken up by people in the hallways being obnoxious all night up until about 4 am.||||The best part of the stay was on Saturday I ran back to our room quickly with my 5.5 year old to pick up bathing suits around 11:15 and our room door was wide open with no housekeeping in site. I noticed housekeeping came, didn't clean but did take out trash and towels but the door was open which wasn't good. Thankfully nothing was taken but we were the first room off the elevator which isn't a good feeling. I went down to the lobby and the lady working who was sitting on a stool barely said she was sorry. This isn't Marriot service...||||Avoid...
Read moreWorst experience I've ever had staying in a Marriott hotel. Checked in by two confused employees who felt the need to remind me that they were fully booked even though I had a reservation. She wrote the room number on the room key envelope and told me I was on the 3rd floor and they had breakfast in the morning. She did not verbally tell me my room number or where the elevators were. No big deal tho because as I stated, I saw her write it on the room key envelope. What was a big deal was they had no wifi this night so we could not stream movies in my room. I called down to the front desk and was pretty much told I'm SOL (S* OUT OF LUCK). They stated they had a wifi issue earlier in the day and had someone going around to the rooms without service to fix them, but he was now gone so there was nothing they could do. That was it..No solution, no help, no care. I got this room specifically to get my fiance away from the kids and binge netflix shows, now my main purpose for doing this isn't even available. You would think this was something they would give you heads up on at CHECK IN. But let me continue, there was a group of people outside under our window loudly talking and drinking well past 2AM. Along with stomping and running from the kids that were clearly just above us. So not having a TV or streaming capability was really an issue as we couldn't sleep in the loud room. Oh yeah I didn't mention not only was the wifi not working, we had one tv that just turned on at 1am while we were laying in the bed and would not turn off. The other tv would respond to the remote but would only loop the Marriott Bonvoy advertisement, no other channels available. I took a chance on Fairfield By Marriott because it's only two years old but I would NEVER come here again due to the service. Full charge without full amenities....
