I've taken my kids there and have gone solo. There's so many different things, each time you go you find something new. Thers also something for everyone. Also, it's a good place to get holiday themed items. My youngest loves the $5 candy box. Where you get to fill a small box with candy from the candy corner. He also loves the drink selection,he gets a ginger ale every time we go. My oldest loves the ice cream and desserts. He likes to mix and match different flavor ice cream to different flavor cones. Also, both boys like to get a mystery bag when they are available. My husband doesn't enjoy sweets at all, but even he found things to try when there. He likes to try different flavor chips from around the world. The store itself is always clean and tidy. The staff are helpful...

I went with a Friend and Associate to Middletown,Ohio to Eat Brunch @ a Soul Food Restaurant in the Downtown Area. After we eat we went Walking through the Downtown Area. As we were walking we came across Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop and went in to check it out. While in there looking I saw some Buckeyes and decided to get 1. And looking further noticed they had Ice Cream and saw they had some Banana Pudding Ice Cream and since Banana Pudding is one of my favorite Desserts, I got a sample.Wow, if it didn't Taste exactly like Banana Pudding so I got 2 Scoops and it was awesome. This is such a fun store from the beginning, but I had a remarkable customer service experience. A friend's mother passed & she asked if i could find some if her hard-to-find favorite candy to pass out at the funeral. I had a long to-do list, so I messaged Grandpa Joe's late at night just to clear my mind of the task. I received an immediate response & they went into action trying to get the candy which was out of stock & in transit. To be honest, I don't know if the candy will arrive on time for the funeral, but that is zero fault to Grandpa Joe's. I am grateful for the after-(& before) hours...
