So I love neils I buy occasionally and on every special occasion. It's my fiances birthday today so before they closed we headed over to this one because he's never been and he's always wanted to go. I know we walked in 20 minutes before closing and I hate to inconvenience people but there was still a line of people. We got up to the counter and was met by this girl who literally huffed at us because we were taking a few minutes to decide what we wanted because he's never been inside before. I had the smores iced coffee because it looked great in the picture. We got a half dozen donuts. She was very rude which was pretty disappointing but I get they've been working all day so I just let it be and we left. I was pulling out and tasted my coffee, there was no sugar in it so it tasted like black coffee. So I pulled around drive thru just to ask for a couple packets of sugar. The girl at the drive thru was so much worse then the one inside. She didn't say a word to me but her mannerisms were super rude and after she gave me the sugar I literally swore I saw her give me an eye roll and closed the window pretty harshly. Now I get people work all day at the end of their shift they're tired and its hot outside so it's worse, but the customer service was none existent and makes me never want to come to neils again. My fiance was so excited to go there because we get their donuts for take out, usually me, and he was pretty upset by the whole experience and we felt so unwelcome. I will never be back after this and will be finding a new donut...
Read moreOverall we love Neil’s Donuts! We come here at least once a week for the cinnamon cruller. It is by far one of the best donuts you can get in the area and priced well. We did notice that today’s batch was about 25% smaller than usual which was disappointing. I wish they added a bit of Saigon cinnamon to the powder mix as it would elevate an already great product. The lines can build up fairly quick depending on the time of day and the parking lot is chaotic with everyone reversing or pulling into parking spots and the drive through feeding right into the main entrance of the lot too. Don’t know the real solution to this issue. The staff is very nice which I appreciate especially considering just how busy the store can get. For the most part they keep everything well stocked too which is impressive. Also these crullers hold up so well! We’ve split them in half before and had them later in the day or even the next day without much loss in texture or flavor 🙌 we’ve tried their other cinnamon donuts but these are our favorite. Apart from any filled donuts, is there anything...
Read moreCame in on a Saturday morning at 6:30am, place was already busy. There were plenty of staff working, and the drive thru appeared to be busy as well. This is one of the few local places that has coffee before 7am (which is a weird and annoying struggle for early workers). New storefront is clean and bright, counters were clean, staff were masked and tidy. Since I was getting a dozen donuts for family, I made a list of donuts (with alternates) the night before. They had everything we needed with one exception, powdered lemon, which they said wasn't being made this season. We also got 4 coffees. As I said before, this is a busy place, reminds me of tiny bakeries I used to visit on vacation at the shore: fast moving, speaking loudly at the same time as others, crowded. Best advice is to make a plan first! My favorites were the glazed crueller and the French vanilla crueller, my boyfriend's war the maple frosted. My family couldn't pick a favorite, but got vanilla buttercream, coconut cream, and...
