Wesleyan University — Attraction in Middletown

My wife started the online programs and soon to discover that the first and second semester teacher where very punctual and professional the 3 teacher she had start to constantly failing her on something called (spiritual life discussion) opinion based right? Wrong, my wife soon discovered that 4.0 G.P.A was no longer safe with this teacher because what went from a opinion based assignment was going to totally destroy my wife's G.P.A. My wife asked me what she should do with teachers ridicule of "that is not what the bible means by what it says" or "that scripture doesn't mean that to you it wasn't written for you to use it" the teacher seemed to want to twine politics with the Bible but as anyone in their right mind would know that cannot be done the bible is the word of God not politics. So my wife talked with me asking what she should do i just told her to reconcile with the teacher find out what her issue is and the teacher seemed to have actual solution (keep in mind this school has already been payed) so my wife contacted the school reaching out for a solution the school advised her to drop the class. So drop the class and now at this point my wife has the belief if she tries another school she will have no control with access to a educational provider that has teachers that actually care about the students they do not have to face because of the schools so very helpful online classes... this all derived from the subject of opinions on the Bible and the teacher decided if you where right or wrong how wrong is that .... in my opinion very wrong but that does not matter to the teacher she still has her job and may have moved onto another student to ridicule. Today my wife continues to take care of our family with hope of one day continuing...

I live right next to Wesleyan. They do not care about whether they disturb their neighbors. There is a construction site that runs Monday-Saturday starting at 7 am. They do not give a flying * if their sounds ruin their neighbors Saturday mornings. I asked them to at least switch from beep alarms to white noise alarms (osha approved). There are times when I have to hear backup alarms for hours, with 10 second breaks in between. They didn’t care. Last fall two construction workers were hospitalized due to a scaffolding fall. I feel so bad for them but I’m not surprised. On top of that, they will also deploy their landscaping crews as early as 8 am. They don’t give a * about anyone but the people...

I applied was accepted and visited. Perhaps what felt right initially was quickly washed away when being on campus. The drugs, the attitude and the generally run down feeling of both the campus and the surrounding town was so disappointing. I didn't get a good feel for the students but I knew I would not fit in. It has a reputation from 30-40 years ago as being a good LAC, but lack of money and now investments mean they cannot compete with better LACs today.
