I was so stoked to try this place after reading so many good reviews, but I was actually pretty let down. I ordered online: a grilled cheese with BBQ pulled pork on gluten free bread, a side of sauce, and the meal said that it came with chips and had an offer to get extra chips for 50 cents more. So I got the extra chips as I was already using a 20% discount code, so why not? My total came to $16.88. I thought that was an okay price considering the gluten free bread was an extra $2, like most other places. I went and picked it up, the guy behind the counter handed it to me, and I went and sat at a table with my boyfriend to eat. I was surprised that there were no chips with my sandwich. So I went back up and explained to the guy that I didn't get the chips I ordered. He just looked at me blankly and said they don't serve them anymore and that "the menu is changing." I said that's okay, but I paid for them, to which he responded with basically the same statement. No apology or offer of any different side choice, my money back, or coupon? Idk lol, but I said okay and just walked away dumbfounded, not because I care about a handful of chips, or 50 cents, but because that was the most awkwardly unprofessional experience I think I've ever had. My boyfriend and I talked this through, cracking up the whole ride home. Just picture: the order comes into the restaurant, an order for a sandwich and extra chips. You know that you don't have chips anymore, so you just make the sandwich and put it in the box. You hand it to the person when they come to pick it up without saying anything to them about not having what they wanted. When approached, you offer them nothing else in exchange for their money that you already received from them. Not sure if he just hoped I wouldn't notice until I was halfway home or what, but that was crazy. The food I got was good, which sucks, because the lack of idk... giving a shit, on their part, I guess... has me thinking I probably won't go back.
TLDR: Food is good, but don't order online. Go there in person so you can make sure they really have what's...
Read moreI walk in and immediately and welcomed to The Melted Madness. The employees and chefs all looked over, smiled, and was a very welcoming environment. Very welcoming music was playing and a fantastic vibe asked if I had any questions about the menu or if I needed anything give me a little bit of time and was always around just in case I was ready to order. I ended up having Broccoli and cheddar bites, which were made fresh with the Madness sauce. One word, Phenomenal. I have never been on broccoli and cheese sort of person, but I was daring enough to try it and oh my goodness was it worth it!! I think of something I’m gonna be ordering every time I come here from now on. I also had the Melted Madness Grilled Cheese and a Vanilla milkshake. Holy smokes, The best grilled cheese I’ve had in many years. It’s honestly hard not to just splurge and get a couple more. Shortly after, They asked if I wanted to try a new flavor of wings that they’ve been experimenting with. They smelled and looked dangerously good. I hope they add this to the menu because this right here are wings I could eat every day. Cooked too perfection, taste just enough kick to satisfy the spice craving without having a run and grab water. I made sure to ask them to add that to the menu. After eating all of this and being so impressed with every bite, I had to try one of their sweet grilled cheeses because they looked so different and so tasty at the same time. I decided to be a bit daring and try there Apple of my Brie. I was not disappointed. It was such a different flavor for a grilled cheese and I would’ve never expected it and I might have to order this as my main meal next time. I purposely drove over an hour away, just to try a restaurant that specializes in grilled cheeses. Every second was well worth it. I will make sure to tell everyone I know to please stop by here because this is the type of service and food restaurants need to live up to. Thank you to The Melted Madness for such a good experience. I will 100% be stopping by tomorrow as well to try some more food. I wish I could try...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend really like this place, the staff are always very nice and greet you when you walk in the door. As a fan and a chef who’s seem his fair share of kitchens, I wanted to add some tips, whether or not that owner or a manager sees them is up to whichever staff sees this review first! I’ve been three times now and have ordered the Empire State chopper twice. It’s absolutely amazing and both times has been large, well stuffed, and delicious. The dipping sauce is a good idea, but I think it should be sold as an option separately, at a larger portion. Some reviews mentioned the dipping sauce being watery, and I can absolutely see where they’re coming from, me and my gf happen to really enjoy the sauce, but it could definitely be thickened very cheaply with the addition of cornstarch or another thickener. I really go for the milkshakes though. They’re absolutely delicious with beautiful toppings, perfect consistency, and amazing flavors, but they definitely need to be cheaper. If they were in the 3-4 dollar range I’d be there every day. The toppings as fun as they are don’t even need to be there, those milkshakes don’t need to be beautified because they’re already so good. I’ve also seen comments saying they’re sweetened artificially, but I am very sensitive to fake sugar and have had no issues with their milkshakes, so it may be an issue with the reviewer’s palette. The only other thing is I think the lobby might be slightly too well lit, I can’t help but leave with multiple spots in my vision. The music is always...
