Went out for a nice and fun dinner with my friends. When we ordered our food my friend who was a vegetarian asked for an impossible patty on a burger that comes with barbecue sauce on it, only to be attacked by the waitress for ordering what she wanted by complaining how the chefs are going to “scream” at her for ordering an impossible burger with something that has barbecue sauce. My friend continued to tell her that she is okay with having the barbecue sauce on the burger, and that she even preferred it had barbecue on it, only to be met once again with condescending and berating comments. It was truly one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had, every other restaurant in this town is more than happy to accommodate for her dietary restrictions and we were expecting brinstar to be the same. Then when we asked for the check the waitress seemed so distraught by the fact that we wanted to leave and continued to help every table around us before grabbing our cards, very obviously trying to make it take a while, since she could see that we were visibly upset by the treatment we received. I myself work in the food service industry and understand how sometimes customers could be difficult. We were nothing but nice from the moment we walked in and we were met with rudeness from the get go. My friends and I have loved coming here in the past, but after this experience where we were made to feel like burdens I don’t see us returning in the near future.

Read moreGreat restaurant, bar and arcade in downtown Midland. Highly recommend to anyone who loves food, beer and a good time playing arcade and pinball games.
The owners Bell and Scott are extremely personable and have an ambitious vision. As a result, the food is phenomenal, the staff is friendly, helpful and excited to be there, and the games are wicked fun. A+ atmosphere. Excellent service.
The menu has some unique options, such as the poutine fries and the variety of eggrolls on offer. Many of the dressings and the sourdough bread are homemade and the MYFO sauce is delicious. The omelettes off of their weekend breakfast menu are available all the time, which makes it one of the few places you can get a late night omelette with your coin-operated games and beer.
Did I mention the machines all take real quarters? And the machines are priced as they were when they originally came out. The most expensive thing you can do is $1.00 and that is for the two excellent pinball machines.
Extremely reasonable prices for food...
