Four stars overall but a mixed review. I would give them 3 stars on on quality. Decent pizza, not the best I've had, not the worst I've had. The crumb is OK, decent tasting, but not really great. Tomato sauce is a bit sweet but this is a consistent theme for just about every restaurant I've ever had in Michigan. Overall I give it three stars on quality. perfectly acceptable, but not in any way does it stand out.
Size/value: I think this is a good value in a pizza. I've read reviews complaining about the 10"size. This is plenty of pizza for two people. Maybe not the typical Michigan large size over eater people, but certainly enough for my wife's and I sensible eating habits. $10 bucks or so is a pretty good deal for a meal for two. Four to five stars in size/quality.
Customer service: A solid five stars. I walked in, order a sausage/cheese to go, and walked out around 10 minutes later. Also polite staff. Excellent service, just what you want to see and the kind of business I like going to. Very well done.
So overall a solid four stars. Can't really complain about the pizza. As a Minnesotan, I'd say it's "Not too bad" (and that's a compliment from a Minnesotan). Value is good, and service is outstanding.
Well done...
Read moreWent here when they first opened and the menu has improved, a lot! Not only can you order specific styles of pizza but you can "make your own". They say 3 meat/vegetables so I'm not sure if they'd do more than that. We ordered one with pepperoni, sausage and bacon and hubby wanted extra cheese, they recommended not since the center might not cook entirely....good tip, thanks!
The pizza was DELICIOUS!!! Sauce is fabulous and the crust, which takes 2 days to ferment, is just the right balance of crispy and chewy.
They also have side salads, garlic bread and a featured daily pizza.
My one complaint is the soda. It comes in cans and I'd prefer fountain but I'll overlook that for the taste of the pizza!
Their menu says 2 minute bake time and that's pretty accurate so don't think you'll have much time to wait. Plus if you're ordering for take out I'd order at the restaurant 🙂.
Service is friendly and you might just get a little history of where the tables came from or the corrugated tin covering the walls or even why the restaurant came into being.
Wonderful family place and I hope more people find out about them because as far as Midland pizza goes, this has got to be...
Read moreBoyfriend ordered pizza online (6/27) to be ready at 640 PM. We got there and the lady was putting a sold out sign on the door. People in front of us ordered and were told it would be about 20 minutes for their pizza. They were still waiting when we left. Got to the front register told her we were here to pick up. She had to check to make sure our ticket was on the line. She said it would be done soon so we sat down. Multiple people came up to ask about their order and if it was ready. We ended up waiting an extra 35 minutes after the promise time. Super frustrating to have to be waiting extra time because we had placed it online so that it would be ready for pickup after we had worked for 12 hours and just wanted something quick. Watched the employees touch peoples food then proceed to wipe their hands on their clothes and continue to touch peoples food. The lady didn’t even give us our food at the same time. We got the garlic bread then still had to wait additional time for our pizza. Didn’t end up leaving till 715. Overall the food was definitely not worth the extra wait time and all we got was a sorry...
