Anyone who says this place is any good is either completely naive, or just lying. The portion to price ratio is completely off. The food is old, and absolutely flavorless. The " shredded " chicken chimi was just a chunk of dried out, bland, and unseasoned, chicken breast. Somehow the chips and salsa are the only star here, which is terrible, considering the salsa is probably some jug ordered from Cysco.. The obviously microwaved tamales was confusing, since the sauce thrown on it tasted more like marinara. I get that Midland doesn't know anything about Mexican food, but this ain't it, and somehow Taco Bell is actually doing it better than an actual Mexican restaurant. I wasn't going to write a review, originally, but the fact that I actually paid money to experience that, really pisses me off. Seriously, just go elsewhere. You don't have to eat this to...

Still no liquor license so don't go expecting margaritas with your Mexican meal 🫤
Food was ok, nothing spectacular. My taco salad was pretty liquidy and it needed some seasoning so I added salt. Hubby for something with rice, chicken and shrimp. He liked it. We ordered the queso with chorizo to start and that could have been enough for us to share and be my lunch 😁. Their chips are good but I don't believe they make them.
Service was adequate but somewhat slow to check on us, as a matter of fact I think she only checked on us once and I had to hand our bill to another server to get out of here
For both our meals, tea also appetizer it was approximately $35, not bad.
I probably won't be returning (came to see if the name change helped the food, it didn't), especially for dinner when I like to have...
Read moreWe ended up here a couple of years ago, when on the way home (Genesee Cty) we realized we were starving and really wanted Mexican food. All four of us agreed it was some of the best we'd ever had, and we've talked about going back ever since. My husband and I made a trip to Midland today, and part of the reason we chose that area was because of this restaurant. The name has changed, but we were ao happy to find out that the food is just as good as it was the first time. PLUS, after watching my husband's eyes roll ecstatically into the back of his head when he tasted the cheese sauce on his burrito, I tried mine and OMG....I don't know what makes it different but the flavor is incredible. It's the best queso I've ever had. And that's been a LOT lol. 100% recommend this place. We'll make the hour+ drive...
