PEOPLE OF MIDLAND, we have a responsibility to support this business. In a town of limited breakfast pastries, you have someone (I have no idea who personally) has taken that market head on with the best product I could’ve imagined. My regretful lack of pictures does damage to this review, but what is should tell you is ‘this family was way too excited about how beautiful these croissants were to remember to take a picture.’ The plain and chocolate, perfect renditions of classics. The crème brûlée, how someone puts luscious custard into a baked good topped with a thin, masterfully brûléed layer of sweetness. Then this genius found a way to produce a muffin that is a blend of the best cinnamon roll known to the region along with the fluffy texture of a croissant.

Think about the atmosphere we’re creating by bringing success to this business. It’s a cool Michigan morning, you looking for a high quality cup of coffee and a bite to eat. You know you have a spot that can take you to Paris on your way to a riverside stroll. Or if you’re looking for the crepes next door, and not sure what the wait will be and if it’s worth it, you now have options!

Im editing our bad review from the 1st time we went to Iron Dame because we decided to give it another try and it turned out a great experience. We tried the fresh cheesecake raspberry danish and the pistachio raspberry croissant and they were delicious. One particular thing that I liked in this 2nd visit is that now they are very open about which items are fresh and which are not, giving us the option to decide between freshness or not so fresh with a discount, what sounds very fair. First off phenomenal. The variety? The flakiness? The layers? The FLAVORS? Delicious. Big city quality in a small town. A perfect spot for intimate conversations. Had the Blueberry lemon, and it was buttery, melt in your mouth goodness. Quality all around. There's a sense of quiet in the business, something relaxing and stilling outside of the hustle and bustle of your day.
